Heart Chakra
Apr 19th, 2006 at 11:25pm

Greetings everybody!http://afterlife-knowledge.com/yabb/images/smiley.gif
Smiley

I'm new to posting on this board, but have been an avid reader for roughly 3 years now... I have also read all of Bruce's books regarding afterlife exploration. http://afterlife-knowledge.com/yabb/images/grin.gif
GrinI just hooked-up to the internet at my house, so beings I don't have to go the library anymore to use their computers, I feel I can reliably join as a member to the forum.

My question is about deep meditation and stimulating the various chakras throughout the body...

I have been able to relax my body and enter into the 3-D blackness... Once there I noticed that any small sound in the room will cause me to jolt out of that state. Once there however, I notice that my body seems to vibrate and I begin to feel lighter  (like my physical appendages are lifting off of the bed.) After that, I feel breathless, and my heart starts to pound relentlessly (it actually feels like it's about to explode!). That's as far as I can ever get though. I've got two questions:

1.) Why does my heart feel like it's about to explode? (But, oddly enough... it's not in a bad way.)

2.) How come nothing ever happens after I get to the level where my heart is pounding rapidly?

Thanks for any input,

Cosmic_Ambitions

P.S. I'm supremely humbled by everyone that writes on this forum... I've learned so much from all of you!
Thanks again Bruce for paving this site into existence. It is truly helping a lot of people to better understand themselves and the reality that they find themselves in. (It can get pretty scary when you feel like you're the only one that's questioning your reality -- with nobody on the same page that's willing to openly talk about these types of things.)

Thanks to all! (PUL)

Hello Cosmic_Ambitions,

Quote:

It is not actually your physical heart that is pounding rapidly and "feels like it's about to explode". Rather, the sensation originates from your heart's extraphysical/astral counterpart, which is energizing and exteriorizing an astral body in preparation for a projection.

Because it feels like the actual physical heart, the sensation can bring about panic, but if in panic you snap back into physical awareness, you'd notice that your physical heart had been beating normally all the while.

Therefore, medically speaking, throughout this sensation, there is no actual danger to your physical body, or risk of bodily harm, by means of a heart attack for instance.

As to why "nothing ever happens after I get to the level where my heart is pounding rapidly", meaning the projection was not apparently successful, this is a matter of technique, as well as what Robert Bruce calls the "mind split", in which a part of your mind did successfully project, but your awareness stayed focused on the part of your mind that remained in your physical body. Thereafter, your physical memories overrided your astral memories, so it seemed as if you never projected.

My suggestion would be, since the topic you're asking on, is more relevant to the Robert Bruce system of astral projection, rather than this forum's focus on afterlife retrievals, that you (in addition to this thread) also post your question on the Astral Pulse forums :
http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/index.php

As well as obtaining a copy of Robert Bruce's Astral Dynamics, the most popular 'textbook' for Astral Projection :
http://www.astraldynamics.com/library/?BoardID=28

Finally, Robert Bruce has made his NEW (New Energy Ways) of developing the energy bodies and chakras, available free-of-charge on the internet here :
http://www.astraldynamics.com/tutorials/?BoardID=6

This is particularly useful, because the International Academy of Consciousness' Vibratory State technique (which has multiple benefits including that of de-intrusion or spirit releasement), is an application of bioenergy manipulation, which is essentially what Robert Bruce's NEW methods train the individual for.

All the best,
Kyo

Thanks Kyo. That was a good explanation, and it makes a lot of sense. Those links that you provided were very useful as well...

Thank you for the warm greeting Caryn. It seems that everyone here is very knowledgable and helpful. I'm glad that I found this site. Like I said, there aren't a whole lot of people that you can talk to about these types of things. Luckily, everyone here is very open, informed, and accepting. It's a good feeling!  Smiley

A wonderful book on the chakras is Carolyn Myss (pronounced Mace) book "Anatomy of the Spirit".
As far as the "feeling that he heart is about to jump out"--- Yes, this is the spirit self, not the physical self that is pounding. When you are going into a deep meditation, the senses are greatly inhanced, therefore  you are hearing your heart beat.  You may also be sensitive to sounds, smell, touch, taste--during you meditations.  I "snap back" somewhat violently at times when a noise disturbs me.  I can't tell you how many CD players and tape players I have runied because I jump up out of the chair or bed in a rush when inturrupted. They fly across the room and smash to the floor!
The other thing that happens to me is I get so rigid (it sure feels that way) that it hurts. I try to "let go" as Bob Monroe puts it.
When you see only black---first acknowledge that you are seeing black. Now focus on a color you would like to see. The heart chakra is green. Call it to "mind". Ask for help from your guide. When all is finished and you are in the awake state, write everything down.  More and more will come to you as you begin to write. Love and Light--- Carol Ann

Hi Cosmic_Ambitions,

I also am sensitive to noise during meditation or sleep. I use earplugs designed for noise at work (or disco), the flexible plastic ones (NOT the wax things). Try different types. It's probably not comfortable the first times, but I guess you'll get used to it. If you use them, I recommend to lock your door, because your "warning" sense is blocked which can make you anxious for you wouldn't hear someone coming in your room. If you use earphones to hear HemiSync or other recordings, I recommend in-ear-phones (the true IN ear ones, not the ones which always fell out of the ear) and over it wear this "MickeyMouse" sort of ear protection.

And I too have this heart-phenomenon. I try to relax and sometimes it fades away. But sometimes it does not, once I did a heart chakra exercise (from Bruce's 5th book) and the heart area wanted to expand, it was awsome but also too much. I found some relief when I imagined I would expand this area or me or my aura or whatever it was to a very much amount, to the horizon, or better, to infinity, and that, what wants to burst out of my heart area would radiate to all sides in the infinite space. I too found, in the long run, if you do expanding exercises, it is best not to give up fully a center of this expanded you-being.

Thanks for the advise spooky2. I'll give those "flexible plastic" earplugs a try... I've got the "MickeyMouse" protection earphones, but for some reason it seems to amplify the sound of my heartbeat in my ears. They're really expensive ones that I use to record my music with, and they suction cup to my head. As a result, amplifying the organic sounds of my bodily organs. (Kind of ironic.) But, the advise for blocking out noise is well received. I'll see what happens.

As for the heart... I take it I should just ride it out and try to maintain my composure so that my "mojo" will stay in tact. It's hard though, beings it's such a violent pounding, and a rather intrusive intrusion towards my ultimate goal -- (to experience a full-on OBE.) I'll give the expanding exercises a try  as well.

------------

That book about chakras by Carolyn Myss looks intruiging identcat. Thank you for recommending it. I'll have to pick it up. I just finished "Curiosity's Father" by Bruce Moen. I enjoyed it immensely. I especially liked his encounters with "White Bear", I found them to be pretty humorous at times. Also, the surprises that he found out about Bob and himself were pretty awe-inspiring -- (Our disks are pretty amazing and mysterious entities.)

I have to admit identcat... I can do pretty violent whiplashes when a sound catches me off-gaurd during a meditation! It almost feels like getting slapped in the face during a formal dinner party! Shocked

Thanks again,
PUL
