Hi soulMerlin, as far as I know currently there is no evidence for a genetical base for memories of experiences people got in their lifes on a genetic basis. What I heard is there is some space in which genes are active and which are passive, so that it is maybe possible that the mother's mood can influence the unborn child via modification of the activation/passivation of some genes.
The picture you told resonates with a image I have through meditation of what I am, was, and will be, this is indeed a mixture of elements of something greater (I call it "Big I", others I/There, Disc, Higher Self), containing many lifes/persons (full and complete). There's no need to worry for your "I", it will not be lost, instead you just will be greater if you're willing to fully merge with your "Big I". Others say other things but more or less it's the same story. Look too at the "Transcending...."thread started by Chumley. Oh, and white (and light grey) is my preferred color when I'm on my mind-journeys, don't know why that is, here in the physical I do not want to miss any of the colors that exist. Spooky
