what an accident that was; your uncle may chose to have departed that way but also we must keep in mind that accidents do happen as much as our angels try to warn us beforehand; that still voice of reason inside us.  i think you are right to call it a freak accident.  Never mind he is home now.  My love and courage to you and your family in his passing over.

Because you are thinking about him and asking the questions you have asked seems to indicate that he has contacted you.  With the same way of communicating as the angels do.  That still voice inside you along with the knowing or strong feeling/thinking that it is your beloved Uncle.

This is a two way communication - you are thinking about him and he is thinking about you. 

My views of communicating with loved ones who have passed over; is it must not be forced from your side.  It is over a year now and this is about the right amount of time before your uncle is ready to communicate; it is still very new.

When one passes over there is a reconciliation process that happens and a settling in period.
The newly entered spirit cannot be hindered by thoughts pulling him back to earth.  This is said kindly to his loved ones and is not meaning to say he must not be thought of - indeed he must be thought of with love and relection of his life and all the deeds he did in his life.  This thinking (all thoughts are received) will make him strong and happy and not worry about his loved ones still in the Earth plane.

These are the thoughts we must send.  We cannot send thoughts of 'come and talk to me, i want to contact you' this is not fair on the newly entered spirit.  It is a huge process to lower his vibrations in order to communicate in the earth plane and rather he should be concentrating his vibrations in the realm he is.

It is better to wait for a presence or feeling of that person to contact you first - if contact needs to be made - let it come from the spirit realm first.

So this is quite correct Joshua that you feel an earning to contact him; its coming from him.
Talk to him as you would if he was infront of you and listen.  Listening (inside) is very important.
Wait and wait and see if there is a message.

His message might be 'dont worry about me, i am fine, send my love to everyone' Acknowledge this and be happy for him, tell him this.

As it is not fair for us to expect spirits to be readily contacted by us; the spirits also feel it is not fair on us, being in a physical body, to be contacted by them.  They understand that it may make us feel as if we are going 'mad' with voices and what voice is what.  This is why it does not happen that often; it is out of respect for both parties.

The best thing though; is you visit him every night when you go to sleep when your spirit automatically leaves your body and goes to your spiritual home, where your beloved uncle is now because you are of the same blood line.  So contacting 'during the day' is not necessary.  This sense of him contacting you during the day is so your conscious mind is in the present while thinking about him. 

He wants his message to be recalled consciously.  His message is most probably very simple and gentle.  Just wait and listen.
