Hey eberge hello! 

That feeling of floating and then falling is the spirit having left the body, coming back.  It is wonderful to consciously feel it; as you consciously grow stronger in the spirit this ability will enable you to attain Great heights, as you are already feeling and knowing by expressing the afterlife with love.

OBE's, needs a strong, knowledgable spirit to achieve direction into the right place(s).  Right as in good and opposed to wrong as in bad.

The realm around us is called the Astral realm/world and although this place needs exploring and will be explored (with a guide for a newborn spirit) one cannot take things at face value and here mischievous non-human, non-loving creatures are ready to deceive and take on forms that will 'con' you.  I do not mean to scare you with this but it is better to be informed and be armed with knowledge before 'setting' off. 

The aim is to go beyond the astral realm - and here you will See Glory.  Upon saying this you might also See or be Shown truths of certain things, places and people that might not be all that nice.

It is important to know the difference between Seeing or being Shown badness and also goodness as a 'vision' for your discernment;
And being quite clear that you are not in the astral world where one cannot rely on the information being shown.

Most important is to concentrate on the Light to being your guide, as well as your other guides - angels is one - Your angel)  The Light is the Way in the Spirit world and will keep you safely on the path of spiritual enlightment in the higher spheres of our Creation.  The Light is called Christ; the Midnight Sun in the spiritual world.
