Three things seem key about Robert Bruce's story. One, he invited the spirit to take him. Not a good thing to do. He "almost" killed his child, as oppossed to, did kill his child. I believe that all real strength comes from God. Did Robert Bruce rely on it right away.
Regarding the spirit from the exorcist, is physical strength or the ability to move objects around the same thing as spiritual strength? God created an entire universe, so where does real strength come from?
It seems like Robbie kind of opened the door for the spirit he dealt with. If he would've known better, he wouldn't of done so. Plus, from the start, did he rely on God's strength when it came to overcoming the spirit that possessed him? Just because a spirit says something negative about God, this doesn't mean they are the devil. It just means they don't know where love, wisdom, and all of reality come from.
