Other than Tinkerbell at Disney Land, I've never encountered one.  What does your book say about it?  Are they different than your standard winged angel?  I'd be curious to know how many can dance on the head of a pin..... that's been bugging me.  It is a bit silly, but in an endearing way.

in the bible the Nephilim were the said to be Half 'Angel' Half Human, and ruled over the Earth for thousands of years (they had unnatural long life). I'd like to hear Don comment on this, being he knows alot more i'm sure. I find it to be very interesting, there are also alot of people who think they could be the offspring from ET's who manipulated our DNA.

Anyway, i've never heard of entities that are between angel and human, i know they are popular in Mythology, so there could be something to it. But i don't think there is much proof one way or the other for their exsistance.

Hi juditha.

I was reading a book by psychic Sylvia Browne called "A Guide to the Paranormal" or something like that. It has hundreds of definitions on spiritual events that today people call paranormal. Astral projection and the spirit world/Other Side are one of the definitions.

Fairies is one of the spiritual definitons. Fairies in the book are called Devas and are said to appear like white smoke or whispy clouds in mainly gardens. Want to know something fascinating? There are many pictures of white smoke and whispy clouds in garden areas (and other places, too). I don't know if these pictures are faked or not (I don't think so), but here's some ectoplasm:

Hi juditha,
I know many people on Iceland do believe in ore even claim to see fairies.
Also, I read in a book about the community of Findhorn there were people who told that they can see them.
Rosalind A. McKnight wrote in her first book (her HemiSync-sessions with Robert A. Monroe) about a mind-trip to a nature-site where she saw many of these beings.
There are some beautiful pictures (more the romantic-traditional ones) at:
www.howarddavidjohnson.com
(You have to wait a while for the complete download of the site, probably you have to push the "refresh" button when the download stops)

I personally don't know if I should take it for real, symbolic or fantasy.

Spooky

My daughter and her boyfriend had a night of being invaded by some beings/spirits/whatevers who *claimed* to be fey, but her boyfriend worries to much and just invites mischevious entities to hang around, so who knows what they really worry.  Could have just been thought forms he dreamed up without realizing.  I came up and ran them out of the house, and then the fool kid chased them OOB to the back of the property because he was afraid of them and wanted to keep an eye on them!  Some people just court trouble...

Juditha,

Fairies do indeed exist I've personally seen three of then one night, they where very beautiful flapping there wings all female though. I don't know if they come in male ha ha, But the colors on there wings where orange pink blue and white, they really where beautiful and I feel blessed that they showed themselves to me.

Spooky ,the first few pictures are how they showed themselves to me, I have to say though when seen they truly are wondrous to behold.

Graham Hancock in his book 'Supernatural' investigates Faeries.  They do exist as part of realms that are not human. Not to sound scary but they do not seem to be very nice creatures.  There are reports of kidnaps, spells and general mischief making that belong to this world.  They do not seem to be human friendly.  The phenomena of Faeries is the Faerie Circle where it has been reported by eyewitnesses that Faeiries dance in a circle then disappear.  Hancock has described this as an portal into a different dimension or rather their dimension appearing in our dimension. It has been said if a human stumbles upon them during this dance they can turn quite nasty. Also there is a possibilty of disappearing with them through this portal.  He has in this book correlated the resemblances of Alien abductions and Faerie literature .. its seems that the Aliens are modern day Faeries.  One should read this book its quite an eye-opener.  There is mention of good Faeries although this seems an exception to the rule.  Also one musn't confuse Nature Spirits with Faeries.
Faeries are best left alone i say.

I saw two Gnomes once in 1990; but i say they are different from Faeries as they are nature and animal helpers and are human friendly.

Interesting subject - caution again though what do other people think?

once i saw a 5 headed elephant,... and it was this [..............................] big.

it was really scarey. im now terrified of elephants.. as they have to many heads....

end of sarcasm.

i dont think fairys exist... they were made up by victorian writers in an attempt to get poor parents to put money under a childs pillow when there teeth falll out.

i see gnomes all the time.. i wish people would'nt keep them in there garden... Tongue

i guess, people can see gnomes, fairies or anything else they want if they are out of body among the neather realms....

but in this mortal coil, i dont think fairies..exist, only in the mind.
