Hi Bud_S, you wrote: >>>Could the resonant field you sensed be the same as our field and we have just adapted it to individual awareness over the millenia?<<< This field re-absorbing the tree's essence felt to me connected to what is best termed as "landscape". Not in the sense of geological or biological facts, but as the impression a landscape gives to us. It's the plants mostly, but also little animals have to do with it, and whether it's hilly or flat etc, it's the ensemble's direct effect to us before we consider the details. And yes, imagine over the landscape is floating fog, then you may have a picture of what I got. Similarly, I had an impression of a field or realm when I once cared about a dying mouse in the woods. Similar, but different. It's another realm where the mouse had gone to, at least that's what I felt. The tree's field was more connected to the earth than the mouse's field. And, with humans it's special again, they are much more drawn away from the earth's life sphere than plants or animals. BUT- I once stood on a meadow and started a little meditation in which I imagined to have a look from a viewpoint out of my body. So, I "saw" my body from above, and it was odd, to see your body truely only as a body, ok, you have control about it, but in that moment the priority was that my body belonged to the earth's life system. You know, we all know that in theory, but to actually get it somehow visually/perceptual is different. The shape of my body was blurred and it was a swirl, I think it was turning counter-clockwise seen from above. So, we belong to various levels, our physical bodies and the rest of us from which I can't say in how many aspects it could fall apart.
On the other hand, I had journeys to an all encompassing field. This is like the idea of Chi or Prana or ether. All things exists through it's foldings and swirls in a more than 3D space, and that way all is connected. This is when I meditate about the Buddha state and Nirvana (well, no surprise).
I think the understanding of these different fields and how they work together is the (or one) key of true magic.
