Music is like everything else in this area – totally subjective -  That is why what works for one may not work for another.  It’s all a question of the connections made by the individuals MIND (as opposed to BRAIN).

For background music you might look into:

I CHING Symphony  by  Frank Steiner jr.
THE PLANETS by Gustav Holst
Anything by Edvard Grieg


I find these interesting.

I like recordings of wind, rain, thunder, water streaming, and I like the singing of blackbirds.
Also, the pink noise with low volume chords of the HemiSync recordings.
Western music in general can be exciting, but for me it's no good for relaxing or meditating.

I have recently completed learning George Winston's "Variations on the Kanon", a piano piece based on Pachelbel's masterpiece "Canon in D Major". In fact, I had no prior experience with the piano, and to this very day, have no formal training or lessons on the piano.

Because I love Pachelbel's Canon, one day over a year ago, I heard George Winston's "Variations on the Kanon", and decided, "Ok, I'll go buy a piano and learn to play this song", and that's what I did.

It took me over a year (with on and off periods), but it's finally done. I can play "Variations on the Kanon" now as well as any trained pianist. The point being, don't let societal dogma of what you can accomplish or can't accomplish, limit your experiences and your enjoyment of life.

It is said that the bumblebee is too bulky, and it's wings are too small. Aerodynamically, it should be unable to fly. But no one ever told the bumblebee, "Hey, you know, science says you can't fly!", and so to this very day, the bumblebee still flies.

You don't need anyone else to believe in you. You just need yourself, to believe in yourself.

As to this topic of this thread, "music and good vibrations", might I nominate Enya's "To Go Beyond", as the singular piece of music most powerfully inspired and overlighted by angelic forces, and all beings of higher vibration.

A psychically sensitive and clairvoyant good friend of mine, Qian Er, shares that she clearly sees the powerful uplifting energetic effect of this song on the psychic atmosphere anywhere this song is played.

Well done for self teaching yourself, I was taught at College but never kept it up. I could play a little bit and learned to read Music but I have always loved Listening to Piano Music.

I will Listen to that track by Enya and see if I add it to my Collection....
