hi all. new and looking for guidance.
Mar 5th, 2006 at 3:27pm

Hi i'm new this forum, and incredibly new to all of this spiritual & afterlife stuff. Lately i've been a little depressed  Cry. Having lived a life concerned chiefly with the physical, scientific world ( ever since i was born 15 years ago), it really hit home hard when i (completely randomly) fully realised the inevitability of death. Having a completeley secular and atheist upbringing, i naturally assumed: yeah, death, got ages til it happens, make the most of life etc, forget it. I couldn't. I consulted my father- an atheist- and he just said the same- you're gonna die, accept it, make the most of life while you can, and try to make it better for other people. Ever since then, i have felt rather uneasy and unhappy- who wouldn't be when faced with the the prospect of eternal nothingness? I became desperate, and avidly searched the internet ina an attempt to find answers to the philosophical dilemna of "is there life after death?" and other such things. I began to read about OOBEs, NDEs and other such phenomena. I browsed many sites which have proved to be incredibly helpful in removing my fears and answering my questions. However, there is still a large hole to fill. If you can spare the time, could anyone be so kind as to tell me where to get started in exploring my conciousness and the various spiritual realms? i understand these things take time and effort, but i am a relatively patient person. However, i need to see things to believe them- i'm just that kind of person. Any help and support would be greatly appreciated. Also, any methods of spiritual exploration(or whatever you want to call it) that don't invlove any purchase (for now) would be preferable (i'm not old enough to own a credit card and probably couldn't convince my parents to let my purchase Hemi-Sync are other such items). Thanks for your help. Smiley

For free Hemi sync, the easiet way to get it is.

Go To:
http://www.download.com/WinMX-Music/3000-2166_4-10454418.html?tag=lst-0-1

Once it's downloaded, install it, and just type hemi sync into the search box, there pretty clearly listed which are for going to the afterlife, which are for meditation etc.

Theres many guides to going out of body, that are free on the internet if you search around. You can probley get them on winmx, if you search it abit.

It's ment to be an easy technique, although it seems to take people anywhere from 2 weeks to 10 years to learn how to do.....

Good luck, let me know if you need anymore help!.

Basic method:

sit somewhere, quite with little or no noise.

close your eyes, and try to think of nothing for 15 minutes.

repeat, each day until you pop out.

Hi Your_mum,
I recommend to read across this site. OK, it takes time, just skip the threads you are not interested in (after a having a look into it); there are some very interesting ones, really, especially the first-hand-reports.
I had very much benefit from TMI's Gateway Voyage. Or try Bruce Moen's books.
Regarding the TMI HemiSync tapes, they work good for me. The question is, if the ones you can get from the web do this job as well if it's not an official site. There are different opinions of the MP3 compression degree they should at least have to get the subtle sounds through. Also, you never know if they are in proper stereo or if a hacker made a mistake...
I too have a scientific background, but it must not necessarily exclude the belief in the afterlife. Ask one to prove to you that there is NO afterlife.
Also, to believe that there is nothing after death and then say have much fun in your life is bit dull isn't it? I mean, to have fun and really believe it's just for nothing- don't really fit together. Works only when you not think about it. Once you began to wonder, it's too late, you'll never again will be one the nonthinkers. So, you've just started a journey and you can't get out! Nothing to worry about it.

Hello your mum:

Do to numerous experiences I'm certain that the afterlife exits. It can be a wonderful or bad thing according to what you make of it. I'm not talking about the fire and brimstone thing. Rather, when you cross over you'll go to a realm that matches your state of mind and heart. If you try to be the best person you can and grow in love, you should be fine.

If you doubt what I say, that's natural and healthy. All I can say is that I have no reason to lie to you. I'm not selling anything.

With the selling factor in mind, I've found it's good to read about near death experiences,  because the factor of somebody trying to sell you something becomes less likely. Here are some nice near death experiences if you're interested.

The fact  of how you're asking questions is significant. Don't rely on you're intellect too much, because you'll never figure it out that way. Perhaps you'll form a belief system that is somewhat accurate, but a belief system is quite a different thing than direct knowledge.

On the first link below, look under "Notable NDEs."  Sometimes experiences get tainted by a person's preconceived ideas. The less they cling to ideas while having a NDE, the more likely they'll be to see things as they are. It's generally a good sign when they're met by a being of light.
