A deeper & holistic look at 'aids' or props

Well...the student is gonna disagree a bit with the teacher in this here post, but thats just the nature of evolution i guess...

A deeper & holistic look at aids or ‘props’

This is inspired by Chumley’s post talking about the effects of pot and from some of the responses on there, most noticeably Bruce’s.

First off, I believe and have personal experience with the negative affects of mind altering substances…and I completely agree with Bruce and others, saying that it is potentially quite harmful and/or just limiting and unnecessary.  These, even the seemingly harmless pot, are very toxic to the body, and the adrenal glands in particular in the case of pot suffer a lot even from a little use…  The adrenal glands are very important in the body, and energetically corresponds to the Solar plexus Center--our power, active center (very masculine in energy)…  No wonder why people who smoke are so often lazy, they got a cloud of sticky and dense energy blocking their Solar Plexus areas and flows!

I also believe in the state specific memory phenom as talked about in the previous thread especially as regards specific learning of phasing into other consciousness awareness’s and outside aids potentially creating a dependency of sorts..

  Bruce wrote, Quote:
Personally, I see use of such "magical potions" as a detour not a shortcut, and most always a waste of time.

I agree with this in the sense that I don’t believe there are such things as ‘shortcuts’ in spirituality…  At my core belief system, there is Universal Love, and it’s the practice, awareness, and putting forth of this which I believe brings development….  Yet, are aids along the way, completely unnecessary or a ‘waste’ of time?

Interesting, I do not see it as so black and white….    Its relative to be sure, but in some cases the facilitation which occurs is often a very helpful thing…and as long as  too much dependence and attachment isn’t developed, then can actually be quite an ‘aid’ in the process of attuning the outer to the inner Universal Consciousness…

But I’m talking on a much broader and expanded level, then just trying to learn to how to phase into OBE states, and learning how to develop the psychic senses, etc.

I’m talking more about balancing and harmonizing the bodies energies with the mental, and spirit forces.   In my personal experience, this is both necessary and important in the grander scheme of attunement to Source while in-physical…   In my belief system, there is a recognition that physical has its own energy levels, its own consciousness in a sense…because of frequency and polarity differences, unless these are brought up to a faster and more harmonized vibration, there is often a phasing interference which happen when trying to bring info from certain dimensions into C1 Consciousness, particularly the very fast vibrating and purely positively charged dimensions…

Various spiritual Teachers have employed specific and conscious ’outer’ methods of achieving this more holistic balance…course, they weren’t just trying to have psychic experiences…they were trying to phase into pure Light energies…bringing the ‘body’ with them.

These ‘special diets’ were used for reasons… like why Moses and Yeshua at one point in their development fasted for a very long extended period…  With Yeshua, during the 40 days in the desert and in trying to transcend the last vestiges of his ego (called ‘Satan’ in the N.T.), Yeshua did not eat the entire period…   Why is my question?   What made this mighty man, who seemed to have so little belief systems, except for PUL, decide that this was necessary?  After all, this was just an ‘aid’, and what need for an aid would such a Consciousness have?

Take the meat comments that Bruce made…Of course avoiding meat will not make somebody spiritual…downright impossible!    But I’ve met more and more people lately, including myself, who have just lost the taste for meat altogether…  It wasn’t a conscious decision, not trying to make ourselves more ‘spiritual’, and all that, but rather a prompting from guidance at a deep level.   This stuff blocks good energy flow to some degree…and when these flows become blocked whether from inner attitudes and belief systems, and/or from outside energy interactions… the effect is largely the same…  It does not lend itself to a balance between body, mind and soul.  An imbalanced and toxic body often makes the mood and temperament tend to the negative, especially if the spiritual will of the person isn’t very powerful..  In short an imbalanced and toxic body seems to lend itself to less positive states of mind…   Many of us are much more toxic physically wise, than we realize, and there are many factors to consider…  Who among us couldn’t benefit from a completely cleansed and harmonized physical system?

Not eating meat, will not make you spiritual, but it certainly can facilitate you moving into your more expanded energies easier and with less ‘work’ and phasing noise interference….

Its how you approach it, the intent that matters…which brings development more so…  For example, there is a conscientiousness in not eating meat, which can actually help ones development if done with a certain motivation or intention…   It can become a loving act not to eat meat…   For example, not contributing the deplorable and suffering conditions that many animals who feed us live in…   Or the sick greedy system which poisons our land and wastes ever more viable land to feed these animals…   Plus you are saying ‘I love/respect you’ to your body when not eating meat, especially commercially grown meat which is laden with all kinds of toxins…

When it becomes a conscientious conscious act for the betterment and health of you and the collective, then it can actually be a ‘spiritual’ and helpful thing…   This is not even considering the above practical fact of filling up the body with fear laden and dense vibrating energy which  depletes our energy to digest and process this often unnecessary stuff.

Or read the Chapter in Rosiland’s book Cosmic Journeys, particularly the chapter called something like  Control: The Foods you eat, where her guides give some rather blunt, serious, and disciplined advice to both Rosie and Bob about certain habits which weren’t helpful to the holistic balance that I am talking about.   I cannot help but feel that Rosie’s and Edgar Cayce’s Source were in a much fuller attunement and much more aware than even Bruce here.

Cayce’s Source made similar comments and gave similar advice as did Rosie’s guides…  If fact, occasionally Cayce’s Source recommended to some very spiritually developed personalities to eat a specific ‘diet’ of a food called “Mummy Food“…

Or in a different example one person was counseled “Do not lower the plane of development by eating flesh.”  Yet Cayce’s Source constantly stressed there are “no shortcuts in metaphysics, but that these principles need to be lived.”

As regards this “Mummy Food”, Cayce himself had dream guidance apart from the occasional references to this food.    Besides this, Cayce who had very little self discipline in his eating habits and who often indulged in bad habits like eating pork, smoking too much, too much sugar, etc. was occasionally reprimanded in an impersonal way…  Deep down Cayce seemed to know better, and his Source kept telling him that his info would lack until he got his physical vehicle in better shape, and in more balance with the high mental and spiritual development he had…  He was a stubborn and sometimes selfish man though…   It was selfish of him not to get his body more intune so that he could be of greater and more accurate assistance to others… His Source tried to help him to see this, but kind of ’gave up’ and when others like his wife asked about Edgar’s lack of health  or what he could do to better contribute to the Readings, the Source said asked pointedly things like “How will ye make him do it?”  His ideals were based on service, yet when the opportunity for greater service arose, his selfishness and lack of self discipline blocked his fuller service to others.

See, one very strong reason why I disagree with Bruce’s comments…is that I have personal experience with getting direct and clear guidance on diet.  I’ve had a few dreams where ‘mummy food’ was also mentioned to me…and a couple times during meditation, this came up.

Now, I know some of my guides are very, very, intune and expanded consciousnesses…   I have a new one who I recently met (strong Native American presence) and his energy is extremely powerful, struck me as almost an ‘elder’ of sorts, or near ‘completed’…   Why the insistent advice for this, if it didn’t have some importance?   Sheesh, its not like I don’t already know a lot about holistic health, self discipline, and getting the body into balance with the mind and spirit force…  And its not like I haven’t tried…but they are saying its not enough….and my body is saying its not enough too.

Interesting…leads me to believe its not so black and white as is often painted…   Not too mention we humans love to come up with every excuse for not needing discipline in our habits…  lol most of us are very good at that!  I know I can be…heck, I still haven’t gotten around to consistently eating that mummy food--takes a bit of work and I’m a bit lazy sometimes.

Lets look at another aid, or ‘prop’…  Toning, now toning seems to be highly promoted by the Monroe ‘teachings’ and Institute…  Do we need absolutely need to do toning?   Nah, but certainly helps things to move along faster doesn’t it?   Yet in a sense, isn’t this an outside aid or prop too?   Why did Monroe originally start to incorporate this anyways… his nonphysical friends told him too, that it would help!   How is that different than using specific diets, fasting, or what not?   I can’t seem to really distinguish the two too much… since most people need to eat…and most people use their vocal cords constantly lol.

Or what about the ultimate ’aid’, meditation?   I lean to believe that this particular aid is extremely necessary to consistent happiness and spiritual development of deep nature.   Like Cayce’s Source oft said, “Silence if ye would meet your Maker.”  Or connected the Pituitary gland (in the E.C. readings connected to the Crown Chakra) to the concept of “Silence is golden.”…    Even the most intune consciousness that came to C1 seemed to have needed to meditate for his full attunement to Source…    That seems to say something in and of itself?

I guess what I am trying to say, is that it is not just a ‘mind’, attitude, and belief system process, there are other more subtle factors which are easy to overlook, especially in their very relativity…   Conclusion:  For some, prop’s may be more harmful than positive, just because they might not be put into the proper perspective, and can become a dependency of sorts…especially as regards trying to contact the ’Afterlife’…   Most of them are not necessary by any means, yet neither are all aids completely a waste of time as I’ve tried to outline from a multi-faceted and sourced, logical,  and balanced manner…    Some things have been both used by and/or advised to others from some very expanded and aware Consciousnesses.  Some of whom I doubt any of us here in C1 even come close to in awareness of all the factors and subtleties of.

Hello Justin.

I was very fascinated by this post, as I can relate to it in many ways. The first point where you bring up the issue of pot hits home. I went on a 25 year detour from honest spiritual growth by occasionally experimenting with it. It had it's good times. But the bad times far outweighed the good. Besides paranoid delusional tendencies of thought which alleviated themselves from my mind after a good sleep, the insights I had under pot's spell always turned out to be nothing of any useful consequence. I'll never bother with it again.

I have studied certain teachings that explain physical energy as a separation of energy into light and sound. They said that the sound current is the original source of everything, with 2 light beams separating out with harmonious vibrations. This makes sense to me as I have actually experienced this beam of energy several times.

I think your absolutely right about this. I stopped eating meat around 8 years ago and don't regret it at all. Besides feeling ten years younger, I don't have the guilt feeling over me for all of those poor animals that live a tortured life just to become someone's meal. It may possibly be true what some people say; that the animals made this arrangement with God; but I'm not willing to be a part of this (what to me seems insane) cycle. My friends from India are happy to know an American who agrees with them on this.

Sincerely,
Ralph
