George Anderson, psychic medium.

How many people here like George Anderson? His popular website is here: http://www.georgeanderson.com/indexa.htm
http://www.georgeanderson.com/page1.htm

I've seen George Anderson on his own TV show, on Unsolved Mysteries, and on CBS when he was giving readings to celebrities.

A lot of people say George Anderson is the world's greatest living medium. According to George Anderson, he see's and hears spirits, even Jesus Christ, in the same way some people could see TV signals. Anderson was once giving a reading on TV on Unsolved Mysteries... he was scribbling on a piece of paper with a pencil, because he said it makes him siginal-in better on what he see's and hears from the spirits. He said when lightning striked outside (many times) during the reading, he lost the signal to see and hear the spirits.

In all, George Anderson is one of my favorite psychic mediums. Your opinions?? Smiley Smiley

Hey Ryan.

Hes very good and has been on British TV a few times.  I think his method of speaking to spirits is completely unique and is easily defended against skeptics' accusations.

What about the accuracy of his readings Ryan as it says nothing about it on his website?

I saw him on a reading on ABC television.  Three celebrities, painstakingly chosen at random (he did not know who they were, nor his staff beforehand), were put in front of him.  He scribbled on a piece of paper as he spoke.  I have never seen anything like it.  He was hearing the "spirits," in full sentences.  Not something like John Edwards who says "I'm getting the impression of the number 3" (called cold reading).  He gave such specifics as would make Spitfire or Chumley turn pale.  He would say, to a wrestler I believe: "your brother is here (he had died in the ring, and was very close).  "He says his name is such and so"  He says (insert some personal information here).  I've never seen anything so open and accurate.  It wasn't a matter of close hits or misses.

He did three in a row in front of the cameras.  All perfect, as if the people were talking in complete sentences.  If it were a hoax, it would have been one of the most elabortate ones in recorded history.

For doubters like ol' Spitter, I would love to have you sit down and watch that ABC special (about 3 yrs old or so).

I here he charges quite a bit for services, but if his connection is as it was on TV, I can't say that I blame him.  He also does some charitable work.

Only one point of hesitation.  If you go to his website, you will see fees from 500-2400 for a session.  It sounds like he has many of these a day, and sometimes gets multiple family members in, and does telephone calls for quite a bit too (not sure if it was 1200.00).  Putting it together, it must be millions or tens of millions of dollars per annum.

He does have a charity, and seems to be a genuine guy, but - I guess has decided to make money off his natural gift.  His website does say on occasion he makes allowances for those who can't afford to pay.

If he is the greatest living medium (which may be true), who can judge the monetary worth of that?

I know that I can't afford $1,000 for one of his readings. Living on social security does not allow one to spend that kind of money.  Shocked

I've read a couple of his books and they were certainly interesting and made me think.  I've never seen him on TV though--I always seem to miss him when he's on.  But I'd never pay thousands (or even hundreds) to visit any medium.   There's one near me who is quite well-known and I've been tempted to go, but she charges around $100 for an hour and I really do have better things to spend my money on.

What impresses me about George Anderson is that he says straight-foward, random stuff that the spirit did during it's physical life. In one reading on TV, Andeorson said that *insert spirit here* knocked over a picture frame hanging on the wall in their living room. To the amazement of the people he was reading, a picture frame was knocked over before going to the reading that day.

Many people have also accused George Anderson of being a mind-reader. Anderson, however, isn't even looking much at his guests when reading them, but scribling on a piece of paper, which he says let's him tun-in better to the signal he is hearing from the spirits.

In all, it's very hard NOT to believe George Anderson. Even when I'm practicing Astral Projection (spirit travel), I can hear voices (English and non-English) from a distance in my house... I assume Mr. Anderson is doing something similiar by tuning into the dimension where the spirits are. If you lay done quiet on your bed, let your body go numb, and go into a meditation, I swear it's possible to hear voices from a distance. I've heard my name called three times once when trying astral projection. This can be done by anyone really. I think people like George Anderson should be tested big time just to prove the spirits.

That is the first sign of skeptical bullcrap.  That is always the first excuse that the skeptics spit out when discussing or trying to reason with the ability that George seems to has.  I can tell you that ESP/mind-reading has never been proved and has always been disproved as a theory of how mediums draw their amazing gift.

I mean Prof Schwartz practicaly proved my statement is true

I don't blame people for being skeptical. However, some things in this world simply can't be explained by our eyes and ears. TV waves, radio waves, Radio and TV signals fill the room we are in right now, and if our eyes and ears were built a little differently, we would actually be able to see and hear them. If we could "see" the radio and TV signals all around us, we would be overwhelmed by the many songs, the personalities, and the comedies, dramas, news programs, and action movies all competing for our attention.

I believe the same for the spirit world. I believe the spirit world is all around us, just in other dimensions. So, when we have a person like Mr. Anderson who says he can see and hear the spirits... people get quite skeptical until they see such abilities up-close. I've heard many times that George Anderson is probably the world's greatest living psychic medium. I believe he is.
