I put this thread over at Linn's thinking I'd get some responses but so far none. Maybe there are people here interested in talking about this--if so, thanks!
Can anyone share their own personal experience with this?
Some things I've experienced that I'm curious about are when sleeping in after having woke from a full night's sleep, sometimes I try to stay conscious while letting my body go back to sleep. And after some amount of time, not sure how long, I feel a gentle vibration going through my spine. It's like a wave I guess and it feels like a gentle pushing on my back. Actually sometimes I feel it upon awakening slowly. I wonder if this is considered part of the vibrations associated to the pre-OBE. If I feel it too long it's almost kind of nauseating. Anyone know what this is?
Also, I've had this experience a couple times in bed while completely awake but trying to get back to sleep: I am on my right side and just letting my body drift back to sleep when I feel an incredible amount of energy fly past my head on my left side. It always comes from behind, it feels massive and it is very fast, and completely sounds and feels like a physical sensation, although I know it is non-physical.
I've actually had this happen once while awake--I was walking through my kitchen when it whooshed past my head. It was so massive and loud that I ducked to the floor nearly screaming. I was afraid something was going to knock me in the head but had nearly missed me. My husband was right there and didn't hear, see, or feel a thing. So I don't think that time was related to any sort of pre-OBE state. But the time in the kitchen and the two times while in bed were all the same. So what were they?
One more thing while I'm on the subject, as I think these are all related somehow: Also while drifting off to sleep at the beginning of the night, sometimes I will feel completely relaxed, not really feeling my body, but knowing that I haven't yet fallen alseep, I will hear the loudest crash, bang, or explosion you could ever imagine. I don't know if I've asked anyone about this before, but I really want to know if anyone has had this happen or knows what it is. Whatever the noise is or whatever it sounds like, it it extremely loud, and I mean loud as if an airplane just crashed into my house. It will completely startle me awake, making me shoot up in bed sometimes. My husband, kids, and dogs don't hear a thing so I know this is not a physical thing either.
I hope someone can explain a little bit about these sorts of things. Thanks.
Love, Vicky
