Earth Families & The Afterlife
Jan 9th, 2006 at 10:46am

I was just wondering about the roles of people who were family on Earth and if they are still family in the afterlife?

For example , When its my time to snuff it will my mum that I know and love very much be my mum in the spirit world?

Also do Earth Families stay together in the spirit world (providing the vibrations theory of course!)?

Hi Jambo-
From past life regression reports we tend to have a much larger "family" than we usually see here. The IARRT generally seems to have the opinion that we hang out with 50 to 100 other souls as a sort of "group". (I'd make it 127 members to a group based on topological considerations, but that's just an opinion.)

Those for whom we presently feel affection have probably been through many prior lifetimes with us in the past, and we chose this specific lifetime because we have unfinished business with them, whether giving birth, teaching, supporting or whatever, including simply having a good time being in love.

I recall a man who said that he died and waited, haunting his wife (gently) until she died. They went into the Light together. Then, as he put it, "She went to her group and I went to mine."

A much more advanced soul remarked that atdeath he simply merged into the Oneness. "I feel like a drop of water in a bucket. I'm still the drop, but at the same time I'm the whole bucket of water." In that case we get to love everyone all at once in our role as what Edgar Cayce called Co-Creators with God.

People who are very family oriented tend to remain that way. One woman died of cancer and was so upset at her husband's gried that she began raising a ruckus in the Spirit World (Upper Astral in this case). "Hey, who's in charge here? I want to file a complaint." As a past life therapist, I do Spirit World activities in real time, so I wasn't quite sure what to do when she started in. Finally a rather sturdy angelic being came and more or less told her that her feelings had been noted, and it was time to shut up.

Another woman found that all of her loving friends and family were waiting for her and they had a marvelous party as soon as she died and joined them in spirit.

Based on this, I'd guess that you can more or less have any way you want. If you want to plan a party right now, I suspect that you'll have a chance to attend it in the next 50-100 years.

From what I understand, the Astral plane (or spirit world) has different levels. When I've astral projected... sometimes the plane I was on looked starry, than another time it looked drippy (or melty). If you astral project, and try to look at the posters in your room, you'll find they look starry, or drippy, depending on the level of vibration you're on I believe.

Check it out: http://www.spiritual.com.au/articles/astral/astralp1_rbruce.htm#11

Yes, I think you can see and be with your earth family in the afterlife/Astral world, but you'll also know that they are spirits like you, and just played the role of your family/brother/sister, on the earth. Being a lucid spirit, I think you'll have free will to be in the spirit world for eternity, or incarnate back to the earth, than remember it all when you go back to the spirit world. Your brother may have graduated to a higher astral plane, whereas your mother might want to incarnate to learn more.

Just my opinion.

Thanks for your opinions guys  Smiley

I like Daves ideas about what happened with that "sturdy angel" lol, Im goin to be in a lot of trouble when I cross over becuase im upset with the way they do things down here!

I also agree with the theory Dave wrote about close family members re-incarnating over the years.

Ryan that link is top-notch, ive added it to my bookmarks for future references.

Dave, you brought up something I've thought about quite a bit.
Now, when I've been PARTLY at fault in an disagreement, I tend to try to be "reasonable."
But if I feel I'm being "pushed around" and it is
NOT my fault in any way, I tend to go into a
RAGE.
For example. Supposing I died of some stupid disease like cancer...
And like the lady noted above, I raised a "ruckus"
over some unfinished business on Earth (BTW,
I suspect I'll have quite a bit of unfinished business.)
Now remember, I didn't ASK to be created... and I don't even like "God" (if "God" is a "personal" being independent from myself (or the universe, as the Christians say) I HATE him in fact. What sort of goon would come up with things like cancer, the food chain, and "Hell" for those who refused to grovel at "His" feet?)
What if I told that "sturdy angelic being" to "shove it up your a$$" and REFUSED to shut up?
What would the "angel" do? Say "boo" at me, or make a gaseous fist and try to punch me?
What if I just flat-out refused to obey ANYONE at all?
What could anyone DO about it?
What say you?
