retrievals without instruction
Jan 8th, 2006 at 8:51am

Greetings,
Before I came to this site I'd tried some retrievals on my own. Perhaps that was a mistake? Now I've ordered Bruce Moen's books but Amazon says not until March will they get here.
I'm wondering if i hurt my etheric body or the recently deceased with the technique I used?:
When passing by a site where someone recently died unexpectedly by auto crash or shooting (our area has alot of both) I felt unexpected fear, sadness, etc. I assumed that the departed were nearby so I started conversations with them in my mind, asking them who they were and what did they want. I felt some energy changes tingles in my brain in response but could not make out words.
Based on something I read somewhere that said violent deaths sometimes do not allow the victim time to turn their eyes up toward their 3rd eye, (a focus that correctly directs their energies toward the exit tunnel, that source said) I start to suggest to these 'souls' that they relax by looking up toward their 3rd eye/middle of their browline. Rather I have the intent to suggest that, because just immediately I hear a sharp pop! almost a snap! and then the sense of their presence is gone (except in one case).
Do you think they went to the right place?  Have I hurt myself or anyone? If this process were imagination alone, would it have smarted for so long?
Any comments appreciated---I'm learning from all of you.

Bets,

I can understand how the techique you used could have worked, and the person have headed in the right direction.  I learned a lot from my early retrievals that led to more effective methods as time went on.  I'm pretty certain you will learn more too as you continue exploring the Art of Retrieval.

There are many different ways to perform the Art of Retrieval and the techniques I teach are just an organized system base upon my own experience.  One of the goals for me is to provide a system that leads to validation of the experiences as real, and to thereby enable deeper exploration of our afterlife.

Regarding Amazon's shipping date, look for a price reduction coming soon for the Guidebook purchased here on my website.

In my (very) humble opinion, I think retrieval or at least actions ultimately resulting in same is instinctive for some people, and I know of a similar situation.  I doubt you hurt anyone following your instincts like that, especially when you weren't doing anything taunting to the presence you felt, just trying to help.  I don't see how that could cause harm.  You may have helped focus some helpers or guides onto the person also?  Did you get the feeling of others being present?  Anyway, it's a very powerful thing and worth noting for later reference on your journey.  Very cool.

Thank you both so much!
I can't believe how fearful I was/used to be of these realms. Yet you all are so kind.
Bud, I didn't sense other helpers during these experiences, but when I do this again I'll be more aware of that possibility.
Thanks again,

Bets,

Personally, I suspect that most of us are doing retreival work when we are asleep and have been doing throughout human existence but don't remember.  Although some individuals do.  But what I found most mind blowing was the experience I had being awake but relaxed using Bruce's cds. Now that was wierd.  Maybe I was more receptive because of being able to recognize some odd experiences in the past or used to going in and out of focus 10 and focus 12 from the hemi-sync tapes.  Either way or for whatever reasons, I'm glad that I was successful with my attempts.  I just regret that I don't have more time to experiment.  Good Luck, Jean Kiss
