Quote:I'm not sure I trust the experiences various astral travelers have had with aliens. However, I do consider this is possible. The reason I consider it possible is actually because we haven't encountered any alien life in the universe. I know that sounds counter-intuitive, but let me explain. I think we may very well be the only beings in our universe. I believe our universe is finite, but space is infinite. This means that our universe really is an illusion for us in that it includes only what we can experience, i.e. the light we can detect from its farthest reaches. What we know doesn't say anything about space though. Space could be truly infinite. If that's the case, and I tend to think it is, then there could be many many universes within it (granted with lots of nothing in between), and within them the weird and different stuff that may be necessary for other beings, life, whatever. Thus the possibility we could "try." "be sent to" or otherwise end up in another universe once we got quite bored with our spiritual existance. In this scenario, the number of universes within infinite space could be infinite as well, and so preclude the possiblity you'd ever get bored! In fact, it would be impossible.
Recall the aliens playing marbles at the end of "Men in Black?" That is basically the scenario.
Nice explaination there bud, i often think of us, as a part of a body, like each 1 of us being a cell our universe = 1 full body, each body (universe) moving around each other.
Is our full existance based upon learning and knowledge? and what is the use of gaining this?
Spending inifnity constantly learning without a purpose, seems pointless.
There must be some reason why we learn? - maybe it's so we can expand to another universe/dimension.
But then whats the point of that.
Whats the ultimate goal of our existance?, a question im sure everyone has asked themselfs.
If we still think like humans, i dont think "we exist because we do" would tick many of the internal box's.
But then again, can you think of an ultimate reason for our existance? i cant at the moment, unless we are merely probes, which need to join the whole to understand our purpose ^+.
