"As Alive, So Dead" book questions
Jan 4th, 2006 at 8:20pm

I have been reading the book “As Alive, So Dead” by Mary Ann.  This is the book that inspired the TV show “Ghost Whisperer”.  The book has brought up a lot of questions concerning Mary Ann’s abilities and how they relate to other people’s Afterlife / Lifeline experiences.  I would appreciate any insight people might have on the following questions concerning the book:.

What focus level are the earthbound spirits Mary Ann encounters likely to be at?

Why would Mary Ann be able to see earthbound spirits so easily but not spirits that have “gone into the light and returned” (she has never seen a helper)?

Does the vibration of a person permanently change once they have “gone into the light”?

What does it mean in afterlife terms to “go into the light”?

    Thanks for the input!

Hi Bill,

I've read the book too.  I'll try to answer your questions.

I assume the focus level these spirits are at is 23.

I wondered the same thing about why she can only see earthbound spirits.  She claims that's all she is able to do with her ability.  (I think with her having it so naturally, that it is one of the meant-to-be things, and this is what was meant for her.  Maybe she has something to learn from this as much as the people she helps do.  Not everyone can have it all I suppose).

Yes, once they go into the light their vibration rate becomes faster to match the place they are going.

The term "go into the light" to me means to allow your spirit to naturally go where it belongs.  It is not natural for us to stay earthbound, and we all have our place to be in order for us to grow in our own way, at our own pace.  You can never be where you are not meant to be--even when they are "earthbound" as in the show, they are there because they have something to learn before they can move on.
Hope I've helped a bit!

I go with Vicky on this one.

We can see readily in 3-space.  That's everyday stuff.

The next topological continuum is 7-space (because of the way the eigenstates work) which is harder to see and runs by faster, and is the place that we initially go through when dead, and where we get stuck in lust, hate, unrequited love and a desire for more pizza.  Under some conditions, like when it's a really strong influence and you're relaxed, you can sense this level. Meditation will do it. (So will many drugs, which is why LSD used to send people to hell with hosts of demons chasing them.)

The next level is 127-space (same topological reasons) which is pretty well out of reach on this plane unless you're a psychic with really good abilities, as some are.
