Death as Destiny: An Update
Dec 9th, 2005 at 3:41pm

Today I again ran into Eleanor's sister (JL) and this sister's husband (DL) at a local restaurant I haunt.   I've shared the story of Eleanor's family tragedy before, but today I learned 2 additional paranormal details that absolutely inspired me.

To recapitulate, when Eleanor's husband, Nick, died as a young man, their living room clock stopped at the moment of death.   Eleanor was forced to raise 3 children alone.   Many years later, Eleanor's son, Nick, Jr., became distraught over his failed marriage and hung himself in Eleanor's home, while Eleanor was already grieving and attending a friend's funeral.  Then in less than a year, I found a chilling message taped to my car's windshield after I had completed a long walk.  The note informed me that Eleanor had just been killed in a fiery car crash.

Eleanor was a true saint.  She regularly attended my Bible studies and prayer meetings and was always tracking down sick and hurting people to cheer them up with cards and phone calls.   I benefitted from her kindness myself after I left that church and was recovering from cancer surgery.   I admit I was angry at God for allowing this dear lady to suffer so much tragedy.  It made no sense to me--until I was informed of two paranormal facts.

(1) A week before Eleanor's fatal accident, she had a dream in which her house was full of deceased loved ones.   Her late husband, Nick, Sr., came down the stairs and asked her, "Honey, would you like to dance?"  Eleanor loved to dance and would ordinarily never decline such an offer.  But this time she sensed that dancing was a symbol of a joyful transition to the other side.  So she replied, "Oh no, I'm not ready for that yet."

(2) I also learned that at roughly the exact moment that Nick, Sr., Nick, Jr, and Eleanor died,  her living room clock stopped.  The "take away" dream, combined with these 3 clock stoppages convinced me that these seeming tragedies were somehow all part of her divine destiny after all.

Well, today, Eleanor's sister (JL) shared two other amazing paranormal events that signify the role of destiny.   (3) The first incident involves JL's husband DL.   One day when DL was watching TV, his clock stopped.  Shortly thereafter, he learned that his mother had just died!  Clock stoppages at the moment of death are fairly common, but not 4 clock stoppages in the same family!

(4) Several years ago, JL's other sister was planning to get married and set the wedding date.   For various reasons, she felt prompted to move the date up a few months.   Her Dad died unexpectedly on the originally scheduled wedding day!   Because the date was moved up, her Dad was able to walk her down the aisle.

Don,

Thanks so much for sharing this, I love the string of stories that all knit together. The repeated clock stoppages, the previous wedding date being moved up etc.; those things happening inspire me somehow.

         In gratitude,  Tim

Don-

Keep these inspirational stories coming!  In fact  you might want to repeat some of the ones you told in the past for the benefit of the newbies.

I especially liked the one about the guy who was killed and then appeared (to his dad?) and actually drove a truck in his dad's presence.

You're a blessing to this board!
