Everyone passes when we die.  To me it seems that your beliefs and thought will determine where you end up.  Like seeks out like.  You may find yourself with others who feel the same way.  You don't state how old you are, but thinking about it, even posing the question may be a source for future thought, investigation and change for you.

Anger, hatred, and dislike are often associated with both lower "vibrations," and a hindrance to spiritual growth.  Usually these emotional issues have to be addressed one way or another in order to progress.  How long you take to address these issues is strictly up to you - I'm sure of that.

There are so many possibilities, however.  I'd say, your asking the question, thinking about it is a good start.

Nomad,

If "other people" WERE "you" ....

think about that for a minute, okay ....

I don't think any of us "don't like other people" --

I think what happens is that we don't like ourselves when we are with others, and that is different.

Maybe you just like being alone and that is okay.

It is interesting how we phrase things to ourselves.

It's good to see you back, and I think some of your answers can be found here.

love, blink

If there's one point on which Christianity, New Age adepts, and NDEs agree on, it is this: One's position in the next life is governed by the principle like attracts like.   So if you don't like other people, you may perhaps live in an isolated postmortem locale populated by likeminded misanthropes.   If you are habitually angry and depressed, your particular hermitage may plant you among other angry and depressive spirits.

Emanuel Swedenborg's astral exploration takes this insight one step further.   He points out that the principle like attracts like already shapes your unseen interactions with other spirits in this life.   If true, these attached spirits keep finding new ways for you to get angry and depressed.   Change the atmospherics of your thought life, says Swedenborg, and you will attract an entirely different type of spirit to correspond with your new dominant mood.   The bottom line?  You must learn to love other people if you expect to be surrounded by spirits who love you in the next life.

I know a professor who was approached in church by a very articulate woman who was plagued by depression.   He knew her very well and suggested group prayer.  She agreed, but his prayers and those of the others did nothing for this woman.   A few minutes later, she approached the guest speaker, a charismatic Christian psychiatrist, and explained her problem.   He quickly discerned her bondage to an attached spirit of depression and exorcised it.   She was instantly transformed and became just radiant.  The professor was so taken aback by the contrast between the futility of his group's prayers for her and the dramatic result of the psychiatrist's discernment that he left his position to explore the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

My take on what I've read and heard is that you place yourself where your thought is, and you judge yourself.

While there are "rules" in any medium we are in (the law of gravity in physical reality), I do not believe we are judged externally when we pass on.

We are our own judge, jury, and we create our own afterlife by pursuing our thought.

I believe that if you are seeking help and guidance then you WILL be assisted.  Listen to your inner voice.  Help is there for you now if you open your heart and mind to it.

Be patient.  This world is not always an easy place to live in but it can become better for you.

Nomad, I used to think the same way, that nobody cared..sometimes other people don't know how to care..so then it's up to you to be the first one to show caring, then others can show they care also. and don't worry, theres no judgment on the other side. this world is temporary here. if you're really curious, read some free articles here or some books in resource section. wishing u the best experience with the treasure of your life.

Nomad, people do care but it's true that we live in a very seemingly uncaring world. Open yourself up to LOVE and LIGHT and let it flow into your innermost self. I AM sending you LOVE and LIGHT right now. I'm sure others will send it to you too.

And there is NO condemnation in the afterlife, no judgment. The only ones to judge each of us is ourselves.

Lighten up and live with love in your heart and you'll never walk alone. Wink

Much Love,

Like attracts like in the physical is quite the opposite 99% of the time.

Negative and positive attract, Positive + positive repel each other, etc.

If your angry, i dont think you will go to an "angry" place.

If the afterlife truely exists, the focus of your existance would have to change anyway.

If you want to be angry, be angry. It's usually a good motivator.

Hi nomad,
you said you don't like other people; but, can you imaginate people (that you didn't meet) you would like? Those who are caring, helpful, funny, cool, knowing, beautiful....etc. If you can, than there is a good chance that you will go to a place where people are who are as you desired them to be. If you can't and therefore you don't want to meet people- then maybe you will not. Is there something you would like to be with instead of people? Landscapes, plants, buildings, animals, music, glowing spheres? I think it would be very good if you would found something you like to be close to, no matter what it is.
