Yes, that's good. Lets create loving protection for our communities and families. (I'm a newbie and not up to whole cities yet.) Should we start a discussion thread for that here? Other pertinent websites?

A side issue might be that spiritual work dissolves our egos and that leaves us personally more defenseless to negative encounters. My 'hub' and I deal with that in part by 'reclaiming our own territory'-- cutting media and political news down to about 30 % of its constant hype. The other 70% we figure is redundant sloganeering, public management, and profiteering concerns. This what we see as the world's reality now: the big issue in the world's reality may well be materialism (US), and those spearheading a change away from that in ways destructive to US. Many people here are changing but that word is not out in the world yet. What places would foreign anti-materialists see as symbollic besides theW T C?
So we need to get the word out and change the perception that all of US admires the Trump example. I'll go see if I can find some websites for that. Thanks for getting me going back into 'Caesar's world. Would it be paraphrasing to say it requires different methods than God's?

Bets said,

"So regarding meeting others on the path, if they are both in the spirit I see here from so many, they will join arms and walk side by side awhile. If someone does not have compassionate motives, they'll probably stumble or get sidetracked.  I don't see it as our decision, who goes first, but rather our job to be sensitive to their spirit and willing to learn or guide."

Yes, I do agree with this, Bets, and sometimes easier said than done, isn't it? However, even when we get side-tracked I am beginning to suspect that the "path" can correct itself for us somewhere along the way and that our intention can influence that. I think that patience is key, but also clarity. Sometimes changes that seem immensely difficult are REALLY easy. It is our own cluttered minds which create the gigantic boulders in front of us. Often, the boulder is not even there.

Thank you, blink,
for the  thoughts of the Force that modulates paths and dissolves blunders--ehrr boulders. I've hiked alot while lost and more recently encountered some now that I trust what's happening. Now I'm giddy with finding so many other souls on similiar paths. Perhaps I blurt too loudly in my excitement. What can I do to enter in to this site as a better citizen? (one would be to read Moen's books--I'll get them.) What else?

Just be yourself, Bets. We're all just like you, just learning as much as we can, and it's fun to hear our own voices talking to our Self.

love, blink Smiley

Doc M,
After reading your reply#14 on this board I decided to go out and examine what's happening around my community.
(I was dissappointed in my findings on the web but maybe i wasn't using the right search words.)
However there are lots of souls banding together, seen in traditional religious services notices of their 'sermon' themes and in alternative newspaper classified for groups meeting for purposes of, or compatible to, world peace. I agree that prayer alone or unexamined intent alone is not as powerful as it could be, but one can imagine that there is forming a sort of a billowing basis or maybe a powerful thundercloud. The imaged intent of any souls near or joining them could only help. Certainly no one is alone in all this!  bets
