Don,

I have a tough time classifying
any of my experiences as "F27" Rather I'm
trying to explore what I would call the "mental plane" which would supposedly be the plane
above the astral. Gordon Phinn suggests
classical F27 is somewhere in between the
astral and the mental. But, Bruce Moen's
experiences in his Exploration 27 descriptions
make F27 out to be a huge expanse. So
I just don't know...

What I do know is that I seem to be delving
recently into what I would consider a different class of experiences compared to my extensive
experience in the astral. And it's not easy
to get "there." From the astral, you don't
just float upwards into the mental. You have
to literally teleport there through changing
your emotional patterns or using mantras like
"I am one with all", etc.

I finally discovered the key to getting there,
when I asked a Helper once to take me to F27.
I noticed my mood change upon the teleportation.

Trying to float upwards only gets me to what
I would consider the upper astral. Which is where
I believe I was whan I met the "sephar", or whatever we'll call him.

While it's hard for me distinguish every astral
vs. mental experience - and I've had so few mental plane ones in comparison,
I'll note what I think to be more mental

- feeling a cool breeze
- more vivid colors
- sounds of singing - enchanting but short, major chord, melodies, lyrics about "love"

I also noticed that I was able to meet my "guides"
upon request in one of my MP's. Compare
that record to almost never meeting anyone I would consider knowledgeable (esp. about me) in the AP.

I still have a lot of data to collect - we all do. But I would be happy to discuss with you on or off-forum what I've picked up so far and we can compare with what you would consider beyond astral from your perspective.

Steve,

You are shamelessly projecting hostility where none was intended.  I congratulated you and acknwledged that you seem to have experienced a genuine OBE, whatever that is.  But your posting of a description and destination implicitly invites comments and questions about where you actually arrived, if "where" is a proper term to portray this.

Your description reminds one of an alien who visits earth, sees a shipyard and park, and prematurely concludes that this must be Newport, Rhode Island.   Nothing in your description is reminsicent of descriptions that distinguish Focus 27 from the countless belief system territories.  Indeed, your  description of a park resembling an earthly park you recognize might suggest that your visit is really a mental creation equivalent to a lucid dream, like my mental creation of the Boston Common area in my lucid dream.   The distinction between lucid dream and waking trance imagery is far from clear.   In my dream, I actually got in a hysterical argument with a woman I met that she was merely figment of my imagination.  This argument evoked fear in me because she seemed so independent of my will.   In retrospect, I wish I had calmed down and pressed her even more vigorously.   She really was just a figment of my imagination!  In future, please don't be afraid to pose the tough questions to spirit people you encounter.  In other words, don't be afraid to be a truth seeker rather than a thrill seeker who wants to enjoy altered states with no regard for their true significance.

Okay, lets make up Don.  I am relieved to hear that I am not perceiving hostility.  Just lied down for a moment and dug out the anger that was causing my upset and I fell much better now.

You are correct in that I should look closer before making my decisions.  Besides, F27 SHOULD have more population than THAT.  Shocked  Funny how you helped me to closely analyze that scene closer.

Love, Steve   Grin

Steve, please don't let Don 'rattle' you as you know that's what he does since he's not able to explore himself. You KNOW where you were and I KNOW where you were and that's what matters dear soul. Wink

Much Love,
Mairlyn Wink

Mike, I somehow missed your post (reply #15) when I crafted my last post.  You offer some interesting and potentially useful distinctions and insights.  Please don't relegate such helpful insights to "private messages!"

Steve, thanks for your reply.   I have followed your spiritual journey over the past few years and have sensed that you are pliable and genuinely open to changing your perspective as experience dictates.  I have also foiund that, when you put your mind to it, you are most capable of healthly critical reflection.   Therefore, I am particularly interested in how you (and Mike) might change your minds as your astral experience expands and you have more time to reflect.  Please share your apparent "failures" as well, if you feel they improved your discernment.  My lucid dreams and bogus OBE simulations have taught me how easily I can be fooled at times.   We can learn as much from what doesn't work as from what does.

Marilyn is right about one thing: I really am forced right now to live vicariously through the astral experiences of others.   I suspect this is because I'm not really convinced yet that all this real, but earnestly want it to be real.  So I truly mean it when I say, "I'm really looking forward to your future astral adventures, even your occasional disillusionments if that is also part of your journey."

Best wishes,
Don

Wink Well, the whole point of of comming here to this website is to learn to learn through your OWN experience.  Don, if you can do one thing, I would encourage you to discard any and all thoughts that you have limitations.  (Just my suggestions.)  Having belief in yourself is 1/2 the battle.

Heck, the changes that Bruce describe about himself are like night and day.  That story is one catalyst that inspired me.

Also, I need to learn not to go on an ego trip when I am surprised by an statment that is converse to mine, but still I belive that I should make my own decision as to the nature of my OBE and dream encounters.
