believing u r doing it vs foolin yourself

Topic: Believing you’re doing it versus fooling yourself..

I kept thinking about what Bruce had said, in his books and maybe here on the forum too. here’s what he said and it works for me...”believing that you are actually doing ...(fill in the blank) is the hardest part of doing it.

this pertains to doing retrievals, or trying to remote view, or talking to your deceased grandmother or self retrieval, you name it..its the same process of getting beyond the doubt that you are capable or doing it, or getting information which escapes your conscious mind in the here and now.

If you keep saying to yourself, “I can’t...I’m not capable..I’m not evolved enough...I’m less than so and so...I’m not in my last life...I’m not sensitive..I’m too logical....I’ll never do it...it’s too hard..these others are crazy....blah blah blah..we can talk ourselves right out of a splendid mind journey and actually have something which is experience to post here, to share. its what is real to you that matters, not to consensus agreement.

just try trusting yourself for once. PE is a good way to develop, as u can verify with your partner..allow room for initiatory failure and continue within trust.

if u don’t have a pe partner, ask for one to appear, see if that doesn’t knock your socks off when it happens.

as for the fear of fooling yourself, who here hasn’t played the part of a fool and survived? you get over your failures to stop feeling like an idiot when you’re willing to say let me try again..maybe this time it will work if I can just believe I am capable because I’m willing to try something different.

Hey Alysia!

Your timing always astounds me with your wisdom! I feel this post was perfectly timed for here, for me too, its encouraged me to make more time for this.

I agree with proof, I'm always looking for it lol you know me. Well what can i say my best experiences have come from when I have truly believed and instead of trying to have the experience to believe I've tried to have the experience to enjoy and learn and advance and it normally happens.

I agree also with what you said, just once forget your beliefs, i know this is harder said than done but if done it probly is the best thing you could ever do!

hi Ryan..you are one person I don't expect to give up easily, no matter what u do in life!

u just reminded me of something...I forgot to add something else Bruce said that helped me immensely...that was "to play along."

to play along as if it were real.
yet it wasn't just Bruce I learned this from. I was praying for a healing once...I must have yabbered at least 20 minutes trying to make it real...I know there were guides around..invisible..of course..is there any other kind? Grin one of them said to pretend "as if" I already had my healing. same thing as playing along to me. as I just started pretending I got whomped by the knowing and the energy that I was healed.

a supremely happy feeling that lasted several days like walking on a cloud was this experience.

apparently, questioning too much is like having too much doubt...and blocks it.
love, alysia

thats cool Lydia, glad to hear it! all I can do is tell u what worked for me. go here http://www.afterlife-knowledge.com/articles.html

read appendix C guidelines for afterlife contact by Bruce.

it worked for me to follow every single point..was kind of surprised how easy it worked. also if u don't think you are really doing it, ask for some little bit of verification you can ask another or something only u would know perhaps. hoping for your success sincerely!

Thank you so very much for your encouragement to all here, Alysia.  It is true that we as human beings WILL doubt...it is our nature....we must protect ourselves and others so we MUST question ourselves.

I know for a fact that I have had hits and misses, strange, unlikely experiences which I cannot always share, but that there is SOMETHING which is real happening in my experience which is leading me on.  If not, I would just leave and read a book or write a story.

This is a never ending tale here...it mystifies, encourages, defies, guffaws, cries, and never lets me go.

It is so good to have pure souls like you to show us the way, and thank you for that.
