This is what you will hear when you die
Oct 22nd, 2005 at 12:47pm

This is what you will hear when you die.You will hear a snap sound, and then you will hear the doctor say,he is dead. You will then find yourself outside your body. You will see all your family around you.You will talk to them, but they will not hear you, because you are using thoughts in place of words. You will be confuced as to why they cant hear you.A helper will appear to help you.He will help you to the light.Dieing is blissful.Do not be afiend.Love George

Hi George,
makes me remember of my first reading about this stuff, I was 12 or so, it was Raymond A. Moody. As you see, this topic didn't left me since then.

I agree with Spooky, thats what I imagined when i started looking into all this and still here as well! Also what is this snapping business going on? I have never heard of this.

Snapping must be the silver cord breaking that is ever present when we are alive.  If you believe that.  I don't know what death will be like but I think that description is not for one who has already explored the afterlife.

Hey Matthew,

this is what I thought at first but don't whether to believe this or not, i have not experienced it and heard of it only once. Is it just made up to feel safe?

Plus anyway we are conciouness not bodies out there, how can something in a physical sense be connected to something non physical in a sense even though its all non physical out there!

you are George, absolutely right thats the way it is to die for someone who has not done their homework about the afterlife.

matter of fact I went out of body once and was dreaming I was dead. for that reason I call it an NDE similar to what Atwater, an author who has had numerous NDE, would call a dream of death.
nobody could hear me talking, just as you said. I had to shoot up several layers into another time dimension before I could converse with others like-minded, and first, my daughter, still in body, had to inform me I was, dead, dead, dead. lol.

Hi Ryan, you wrote:

Yes, this is really something to chew on. But, when we assume,
Possibility 1: There is the physical and the nonphysical. Our own experiences must put to the nonphysical (in the brain are only physiological processes if we look at it with physicists/medicinal eyes), though our bodies are influencing the kind of stuff we experience, the five (or more) senses. So, somehow it must be work! There must be a kind of connection. But how? With the knowledge the natural sciences have now, we cannot answer this question (ok, there are some theories, some involve quantum mechanics, but this are just speculations)
Possibility 2: The physical world is part of the world of consciousness. Then all things are somehow consisting of consciousness matter, maybe there are different kinds of this consciousness matter (some call it different vibrational states) so this silver cord could be a symbol of a) connection with the kind of consciousness-matter called physical, meaning, you have still "subscribed" perceiving this kind of consciousness area=still alive, b) a symbol for a translation line between different consciousness states. I say "symbol" because when we are talking about consciousness, there seems to be no border between solid things, thought-things and symbols, because we can see all things as symbols, taking only their meaning, not to handle it as a thing getting only its surface.

I once had an experience with this silver cord. I was in a meditation, imaginating the energy ball around my body as taught by the TMI. I noticed that it was not perfectly round, as I want it to be, but there was a dent in it, above my belly. I looked closer and "saw" a connection between this dent and a bump at my navel so I thought "That's like to be in mother's womb!" I then looked on the outside of the surrounding energy ball and there was a flexible tube reaching far away. I've read before about the silver cord so I thought "Must be the silver cord!" When I follow it I perceived something similar like Bruce told in his books, though it were not discs but rather shimmering bubbles, one in another. It was like a illustrated Venn-diagram, the bigger ones containing the smaller ones, on each hierarchy plane more than one of the smaller ones were in a bigger one. So, the main thing I guess is not if there is a silver cord and what it is made of or if it's discs or bubbles, but the symbolic meaning of a consciousness-hierarchy.

Bye, Spooky

George,

What prompted you to post this?  Just curious?  Were you doing some reading or did you want to reassure?

Hi blink.I just wanted to let people who are about to pass over, that we have nothing to worry about death.Death is more like a rebirth, only you are 30 years years old after we die.We will still have a body, but not as dense as are human counterpart. This is why we cannot contact our loved ones who are left behind.George

hi White Feather, you are doing your homework right now by being a part of the "afterlife knowledge" forum. homework is simply to study all the evidence that we are more than a physical body, and once we die thats not the end.
my belief is that we as spirit or essence, whatever u wish to call it, come into this dimension of ELS and usually have all memory of the spirit regions, our home so to speak, wiped out from memory. there are some wonderful spirits around, so completely immersed within their life drama, that upon death they get a little disoriented and still think, or wish to be alive back in their life...the most natural thing in the world however, as George points out, is for them to gravitate to their wife or husband to explain the situation, that they are indeed still alive, but communication of this is temporarily blocked as dense matter is not vibrating at the same level now that they are out of their body. it can seem like a different dimension they have entered, and we "think" they are gone, but they are right there trying to get through. in the future all of mankind will be able to communicate with spirits as we develop towards this now. other spirits who have more of an idea of the afterlife, they will not usually remain in the ELS but gravitate to another area which fits their belief system best.

hope I explained that somewhat. love, alysia
