Help in tragic death
Oct 17th, 2005 at 12:52pm

Hi,
I am new to this but very interested in exploring the afterlife.
How can someone be helped after loosing loved ones (mother, brother and sister in a horrendous crime?)
Is it possible to contact them in order to bring some comfort to this person?
I would be very thankful for any advice.

Dario,

Afterlife knowledge can be a great support when we go through painful situations, the problem is that it takes time till you get convinced by YOUR OWN experiences that live never ends.
So the main problem is that people (most of the time) only become interested in such subject when there is no time to study, usually situations like you described.
So, in my opinion, the best you can do is sending them thoughts of calm and peace because those energies will help then a lot.
It’s very hard trying to explain to somebody who never minded about afterlife that live never ends while they are full of pain, some time we have to wait.
About trying to make contact with the ones who have passed away it’s not advisable once they need some time to calm down and get ready to be helped. Pray if you like then asking their spiritual friends (every one of us have spiritual friends) to support then. (The retrievers at this forum may help more than I)

Kardec,
thank you very much for your message. Since the person in question is a very spiritual woman and believes in the ever lasting life, she asked me if I could somehow help in this situation. I hope very much your advice brings some relief to her.

Hi Darlo-
The dead hear our prayers, so prayers for peace and comfort are always useful, just as Kardec says.

Retrievals may or may not be appropriate, dependeing on whether anyone's stuck in the borderland areas of astral. In the same way, if anyone is stuck on the survivor, that should be handled gently so that they can be released to go on.

I've never been very concerned about calling up the recently dead, as the peace of the spirit world is usually liberating. Putting the surviving person in trance, such as by hypnosis, and suggesting that she call for the others to communicate with her should be effective.

If there remain strong emotions, those will eventually need to be replaced by forgiveness or they will serve as "glue" to hook onto unpleasant karma.

My suggestion would be to seek out an experienced and Board certified past life therapist,  so that she will have someone experienced with this type of work. A site that I'd suggest is www.IARRT.org where you can find a referral to an experienced past life therapist.

I'm personally available in California, if that is appropriate. You can find data on me at mbs-hypnoclinic.com among other places.

To my mind, the most important thing is to get rid of strong negative emotions, first through forgiveness, then by developing love, wisdom and a decision to be joyful.

good luck-
dave
