I believe the Theta CD is hemi-sync, or works the same way rather.  It obviously puts your brain into Theta waves.  And this is what Monroe did on his own when he would go out of body.  They measured his brain waves at the Theta level, so I'm assuming that is why he created the hemi-sync CD's.

I don't think you will become dependent on any of them.  Probably the opposite will happen, once you get used to them and getting results, you should be able to get the same results on your own.
