to heal or not to heal
Oct 13th, 2005 at 11:34pm

I think I didn't finish answering recoverers' question "how do u know when a person needs your healing touch?

I don't use my hands as in faith healing techniques anymore so this is hard for me to answer this question, but I at once sensed how meaningful the question is to you, because maybe you have felt the heat in your hands also? and wanted naturally to use it for the benefit of another?

I can tell u why I stopped doing it though if that will help? I know many who can transfer magnetic energy from their person into another are working under the guise of massuers and such, which unfortunately have a tainted name, if they are trying to do this work from only a body standpoint.

the reason I stopped, although i had some mild I guess u could call it success, faith healing is dependent on not just my faith, but as Jesus said "your faith has made you whole" it is always dependent on whether the person has enough faith to totally accept the healing. if they got confused where it comes from, they might think to block the healing from disbelief..and though we were both children of God, if I could not explain that concept, having no tools, just faith..then they still retained the belief system which had made them ill in the first place. so I quit, to get the tools..the words, for it became more important to deal with the mental areas, rather than healing the symptoms, which an aspirin can do just as well as magnetism or energy composed of faith and will which I tried to impart through the hands.
It's always a mind blowing experience though, whenever I did this, and I did encounter some flack but that's not why I quit. last year I healed a cat, that was neat, u see animals don't doubt. they just lay there and soak it up...easy to heal them.

In the future it will be common for one another to simply heal each other and to stay healthly will be the norm. just loving each other is the key. love heals and I found out I could think about healing and not have to be physically present to heal, but to just think lovingly about that person would do accomplish the same thing.
also many are meeting in the astral levels to receive their healings these days. it will become more common as we move into the shift more fully.
after all, who among you if you knew healing was possible would say you are not deserving to be whole?
it is merely a speeding up the healing process to receive this energy...normally the body is always striving to heal itself anyway; we have miraculous bodies..the miracle healing is simply to shorten the time element between illness and wholeness which belongs to each and every one of you in the end..why not accept it now?

hope this answers the question...it seems most of us need something healed, and PUL is the conductor of it. so just look to the wholeness to focus on, not to see and define illness, to make it real. love, alysia

Didn't see your original post so I 'm not sure what this is following...

but I think that one prime thing is that the person has to ask for the healing, otherwise it is like imposing your will on the person.

Reiki is an alternative that just lets the healer be a conduit, doesn't take the healer's energy. Maybe that is more impartial?

I know sometimes ...maybe all th etimje...there is just energy transfer. ...I had a co-worker once..she was a very hard worker but not very popular because she was highly manipulative with the boss, and all in her favor and against others! She had that kind of mannerism of sometimes touching you when she talked to you. I didn't lik eher so I was astounded to feel like...her touch was really special, no sex here! not like that. But you wanted to ask her for a back rub kind of touch. I always thought that was strange.

I still get amazed that there can be this kind of energy transfer. We have a (book) store around here where they offer free reiki on a couple of days for a few hours. Well you are asked to make a donation which is then donated to some group like the women's abuse hotline or something similar, I think. There are other things besides reiki. One person does something called light touch chropractic. She uses the chiropratic table but she just touches the spots lightly instead of the usual crackle and pop. I just did that because the reiki schedule was full. What was so amazing was that I felt it and it affected me for the rest of the day. Interesting. Very gentle but I think you would have to do it more often or for a longer time than the usual chirpractic stuff.

So I had some extra time so I went for reili last week and was surprised when it worked. When I went to my crummy Saturday retail job, well it didn't help the one thing in my back, but my ankle didn't get sore the way it usually does. So who knows why or how it works? So you might feel that warmth in your hands and you might apply them to the person to "fix" one thing but it might do something else. Maybe that's one reason you have to have permission first.

I am a physician.  And I believe that there is healing in the laying on of hands.  With my newfound interest in consciousness affecting our reality, I now have to reconsider how I treat patients.

Many patients have commented on my technique or talent in my specialty (damn that sounds conceited, but wasn't meant so).  Some have said "you have the right touch."  But I always took that as a generalization.  Most doctors don't enter an exam room with a mental intent to heal.  They want to diagnose and treat the disease and be a nice person if they are nice.

Much of this may now change my practice and approach.  However, it may be interesting to think that some physicians are emitting a healing energy without being aware of it.

Thanks for starting this Alysia.  Ever since I was little and had seen that movie Resurrection I think it was called, where the woman found out she could heal people just by touching them, (I can't remember the whole movie, but you get my meaning) I wanted so badly to be able to do that.

But you are right Alysia, there are other ways we can heal people.  We don't have to be physically present, we can send them our thoughts.  And there are other kinds of healing besides physical healing.  We can also offer help by sending thoughts to help someone who is needing help with emotions, going through a hard time, etc.

I once helped someone I knew.  She had been working on some problem, trying to make a decision on something.  (Can't remember what now).  But she was struggling with what to do.  From my own home, I concentrated on sending her "clarity in thinking so she could make the best decision".  Those were the words I used.  The next day she came to me excited and said she had figured out her problem.  She said, "It just suddenly came to me, it was so clear what I needed to do.  I can't believe I couldn't see it before".  I was pleased, hoping and believing that I had helped with it.

Lucy, I understand what you mean.  Sometimes I find out that someone has that special feeling when I feel them touch me, it could just be a hug or handshake but you feel something there, energy, and it feels very healing.

Doc M,

After I gave birth to my daughter, a woman came in and said she would give me a massage if I wanted it.  Goodness, she didn't even need to ask, of course I wanted it.  But I was shocked when she didn't even touch me.  She just moved her hands over me, about 2 inches from my skin.  As she was doing this I thought, ok maybe she's just trying to decide where to start or something...

But that's all I got, I was so bummed.  But she said that's what she does.  It works better than touching massage.  I didn't understand at the time what she was talking about.
Love,
Vicky

Thank you for the responses.

I believe that a lot of physical problems have psychological (and perhaps spiritual, in a etheric body sense) roots. So even if you cure somebody of say for example cancer, if the psychological cause isn't fixed, the cancer will come back.

Therefore, when you involve yourself with healing, it's often really important to know about a psychological root problem. Of course, sometimes people won't be willing to look at such problems.

I once did something similar to a retrievel. Once while meditating an uncommon name was brought to my attention. I wondered why, and it occured to my mind that a young man was in the hospital with kidney cancer. Some guides wanted help curing him, but couldn't make contact with him. I served the role of middle man. The healing energy was provided by the spirits. I also told the man that if he didn't come to a psychological resolution of problems he had with a girlfriend (I can't remember the details, something he wasn't being honest about), the cancer would come back.

Afterwards I asked for some confirmation. I was given the name Graceland hospital. I've never heard of such a place. I did an internet search and a hospital that goes by this name exists in the country Lagos (another name I'm not familiar with). I sent them a couple of emails about a patient with the name I was given, but they didn't respond.

when I saw your icon "Doc" I thought you were a doc so I see I was right. we have some really interesting people here on this forum.

Lucy, the asking for healing part is important and I see what you're getting at. doctors and people with credentials are in an excellent position then as healers, because you assume if one comes to their office they are already asking for healing, so theres a good chance they'll get it.
I remember attending Kathryn Kuhlman mass healings. not everyone got healed and I was there to observe and delighted to see the healings that did take place. my mothers tells a story of this energy which was in the auditorium. mother always had very prominent varicose veins from doing heavy lifting and as she sat there while Kathryn was talking, a great warmth came over her legs, like a spirit was attending to her. she spoke to it and it spoke back. she had a desire that nanny would be healed, my grandmother, who interestingly enough I must mention is my mother's guardian now from the other side..for some reason my mother thought this healing energy was limited and so she thought she was being unselfish to say "Not me! Heal Nanny!" the voice spoke and said "so be it as you wish." and the warmth stopped immediately. mother always told this story sheepishly as she realized she had short curcuited the healing by her own will to believe if she received her gift then and there, Nanny would not. apparently, the slightest little wayward thought can stop the energy.

Doc, I think this magnetism is part of the human energy field and is developed by daily thought processes of staying positive although thats a simplified statement to mean dealing with conflicted belief systems we hold and issues of self image. I often think of Jesus's energy field, how far it must have extended beyond the average person's field, as that story in the bible of the woman who just touched his robe and she was zapped! ha! surprised her no doubt! I think he said something to the effect "some virtue just flowed thru me! who touched me?" your faith has made u whole he must of said also, now go and stop erroring within your ways, I assume she was sick and tired of suffering and just wanted to feel whole and break the pattern of her thoughts which made her sick. lol. he just gained a new follower that day!
Last year Lucy I met a Reiki master, only he didn't tell me he had studied this. I've never met him in person, just through emails. I went out in the astral and he worked on my solar plexus; I asked him what did u do to me? lol. then he told me about Reiki techniques which is so similar to laying on of hands, except it goes slightly beyond what I used to do. PUL does seem to be as you say impartial, yet it's deeply personal when it happens to you, but impartial, in that it is for all who are prepared to receive it fully. within this obe state, a feeling of being "out" my brain just interpreted the experience as one fantanstic hug from another who for some reason loved me with love pure and had no conditions on it. later, he told me about Reiki and it made sense, as further interpretation in the brain waves showed me that he had pulled some grief from my solar plexus, taken that real energy I lived with daily, and put it inside of his own solar plexus, grinded it up...(symbology of the image) and it dissolved...I had no idea this person was such a marvelous grinder of grief  Grin  I said, "are you god?" lol. he said well yes and no, but I am invincible!"
I got a couple of these healings out there from him which led me to say that astral healing may become a part of the future modis operandi; it surely is quicker than some other methods we use within physical nowdays.
laying on of hands, perhaps any healing method stems from the "we are one" principle behind it, and as one being operating here rather than many, so if we are one, I am also one within another's will and share their pain briefly in removing the pain if their will is the same as mine to remove it.
basically, if you all are wondering about retrievals, the principle is the same..we are one..as you talk with the retrievee you note you have walked in their shoes and so they tend to trust you to escort them from the area of their stuckness, yet you never tell them they are stuck, as that infers judgment on them, in a way retrievals, using PUL, are just a loan of your vision.
thanks for the chat guys....

_____

I brought an abused dog home and started practicing this sending of energy from the hands idea and it's really funny how she responded...I did it about 8' distance..she'd get this funny look on her face and go into the "playful stance" you know, legs down, rear end up? ha ha! I've got her to forget all about her previous life...just call me the dog whisperer...lol...
______

that was a bonafide retrieval Recoverer. I love reading about retrievals..thanks! you're right there are invisible helpers around and about and they sure can use our help. what you mentioned about the phychological part, the fellows problems with his relationship irritating or causing the cancer...that's what I discovered was missing in me early on, the inability to get to the root source. I was working on a friend who drank..it wasn't the drinking part, it was that he drank so he wouldn't have to think about problems, so I had to back off, as it wasn't in me to be able to instruct him on this matter. so I'm glad you are able to come right out and find the root source of their thinking. the thing I noticed the most about healing arts is that it is as healing for the practitioner as it is for the patient...like being in touch with life itself, vibrant life substance we live in. we are like fish underwater for a time, and when we die we simply move onto the ground up out of the water and home becomes familiar again.

Hey!

Well i just typed out a message on here then suddenly it all went, i swear i looked at it as well so kinda weird and confusing anyway...wait i know i looked at it hmmm where it go?? Anyway...

My mum and sister always have something wrong with them, always complaining, always tired, headaches etc always fighting the world....and even though they, well mum do, do a lot always tired, knackered, headaches etc etc. I'm glad to be different i sit there when i hear this all the time thinking well i'm just OK, fine nothing wrong...because i want to be OK! I guess thought energies are more powerful than i relise!

Also i tried sending energy though my hands and it takes about 2 seconds to get full but i get a warm sensation and can feel and half see with my mind the enrgy coming out! Is this what this healing use? its weird all warm and fuzzy! Also i'm not sure whether this is significant but i get the feeling that the colour of this energy coming from me is red...does this mean anything?

Right lets see if it works this time....

Ryan, OMG you had me so confused.

You sent me all this stuff on a private message.  I had NO CLUE what all this meant.  We were talking about one thing and then all of a sudden I get this about your mom and headaches....

Sweetie, I think you need some sleep.  Isn't it like 4 a.m. in England right now?  How can you possibly stay awake so long?  If I go PE'ing (no not peeing) tonight and find you, you will probably be zonked out and snoring right next to that crystal.... Wink

Ok mister, that's it, you asked for it.  If I see you sleeping in tomorrow next to the crystal, I'm gonna wake you up the way my mom used to wake me at your age when I tried to sleep in....I'll be there with the vacuum cleaner running and going, "Oh, sorry were you sleeeeeping?"
