New here
Sep 20th, 2005 at 10:26am

Hi all,
I am new here and would like to hear your views on the afterlife. I know some that hold to the view that when we physically die our soul dies also. This makes no sense to me. If this were correct there would be no real meaning to life and I cannot accept this theory.
What I am most interested in is what is the end of the road purpose of our lives and beings. It seems logical to me that we will go on from here but again, what is it all really for. The universe is massive so what can we apply or add to it in our experience??
I have lots more to say and ask but don't want to get too much going all at once.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
Kelly

As I see it, the purpose of this life is to create your ‘afterlife’.

And here is a carefully guarded secret   - you can change the universe!

Create wisely!

Hey Kellyk62!

Welcome to the board. Only you can really find the answers but we help you! And we can all share our ideas which is great to talk about it, i know i love it!

Did you know you can explore this new world while you are here on earth? and like you said from what I have seen and heard we are here on Earth for the experience and to grow and can come here numorous times! But our main world is the next one...

So what brought you to this board? Just the quest for knowledge of whats next? Have you experienced any weird, paranormal maybe? experiences?

Would love to hear of you again and please tell us your views! Would love to hear about them so keep talking!

Speak to ya later,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

I am on a quest for knowledge and understanding of what we are, will be now, in the future and in the end if there is one.

I had what I feel was an OBE in the 80's. I was reading about OBE's and how to experience them. I read that as you go to sleep that you should contemplate having an OBE and your being open to the event. It took about 2-3 nights and it happened. The only way I can describe it is that I was not awake but I was not asleep either. I saw and felt myself rise up and out of my body. I was aware of my body below and decided to go through a wall. I then attempted to go through the wall at a high speed and force. When I struck the wall my being exploded into millions of tiny bits. This scared the crap out of me and I instantly came together and went back to my physical body. I never tried it again.
I fell drawn to seek out the truth and am open to ideas but while ideas are great, I need to know what a belief or idea is based on. Something that I can mull over and come to conclusions on.
Hey, this is great...

Kelly

Hello Kelly:

My basic feeling is that God is the most loving, wisest, humble, imaginative, free thinking, and understanding being possible. Therefore, I don't have to worry about things such as fire and brimstone based belief systems. Not to say that some people don't get caught up in there own mind created hell for a while. But God has such love and understanding, that in the end just about every spirit finds perfect happiness and love. And the end probably isn't that far away, considering that time isn't real. So keep your chin up, no matter what some underestimators of God's love and wisdom might say.  He's not looking to stomp people-as in-"believe this way or I'll condem you to hell for all of eternity." He's way too clever and loving to engage in such a way, no matter what somebody wrote in a book. It's blasphemous to suggest that he would be such a way.

Therefore, I figure that it's all good in the neighborhood, once a spirit reaches its final destination. And sometimes the getting there can be fun too.

Regarding breaking up into pieces and expanding, after the initial shock or two, such experiences can be very enjoyable.

Hi kellyk62,
the "final" causes to be here as humans are in my view:

--Make connections which are difficult to do in other places
--To identify, purificate, concentrate the energy called "Pure Unconditional Love" and get the ability to defend it against weakening influences (it's a hard school but maybe the best)
--To evolve with earth-experiences your total self until it is ready to make another step on the ladder

The ultimate definite final purpose of it all- who would be able to tell? I see only a pattern which is to get apart of something bigger and make a journey back to it, and this journey brings a sort of new self- awareness to the big.

You mentioned the universe is so big and we are so small. This is true only in the measurement of physical size, not in other regards.

Bye, spooky

Hi - I'm new too, just getting the lay of the land, so to speak.   Just lost my husband two weeks ago, it was very sudden, and I kind of want to learn how to check that he's okay...if I died I'd be fine, I expect to pop up elsewhere, but I'm not sure he was entirely convinced, plus when something hits out of the clear blue like that (literally...a tree limb dropped out of a beautiful blue sky and hit him in the head) it's got to be a bit disorienting.

Hi Cricket. I remember when I lost my husband too, not by a tree limb but a drinking problem, which of course was not a problem to him. doctors told him to stop after his first coma and accident. but I don't believe there are accidents anymore.
what I wanted to say you can visit with him to see how he's feeling, what he's doing, etc. up at the top of the board are some guidelines under resources, and free articles by Bruce Moen, which I found to work exceedingly well to contact our loved ones. the hardest part is believing that you are actually doing it. you might have a dream which will tell you all you need to know about his well being, as I'm sure all who pass are well and feeling just fine. I actually viewed my husband on the other side "puttering." spirits putter? but that's not all they do, they go to school also just as we do here and I was shown what he was to do with himself now in order to challenge himself within adventure. he was well adjusted to this area, because we are the ones on the journey here, they just went home to everything that was familiar just as they'd known it before coming to vacation Earth.
if u read the article mention "how to make contact" heres one more clue I think Bruce mentioned, that you hold the feeling of PUL you had for him when you go to meet him, as this fuels up the experience to actualize the meeting place. sometimes guides will infer you must wait for the right time to make contact..the newly passed require some time for adjustment, but I feel it should be soon you will get what your desire is. please come back and tell us when this occurs if u will. you will be assisted by asking guides for this. love, alysia

kellyk62 & Cricket,

Hi, after you check out the free info above and maybe want to go further-get the Guidebook and CD's-there the best deal in town(cheap) and they helped me to explore the afterlife very quickly while awake. Bruce even addresses the demon thing and how to use the Law of Love and Fear. Shocked Grin Kiss

Hi - thanks for the welcome...John kind of left me in a bind, with money/everything else unorganized (he was going to live forever...;>), so I've been busy past exhaustion for a couple of weeks, haven't had the time or energy to try checking out how he's doing with any concentration...when I sit still for five minutes I fall asleep!  But things are calming down now, so I'm going to start working on it.  He had zero warning anything was happening (other than the two weeks of coma, but I was so exhausted through that that, if I got through to him at all during *my* sleep, I don't remember it), so I'm thinking he's a bit disoriented just now.  Probably someone (his Aunt Nellie, who just passed last December, maybe?) will take care of him, but I'd feel better knowing for myself.  I have been "dabbling" in communicating with those in other levels before, but I'm going to kick it in the rear and get at it now.
