I think, for one thing, if things were that much simpler it would be taking out the factor of free will--from us in the physical choosing to help out, and also from those who are stuck. Yes, most people would choose help from whomever, but there is a process that needs to take place when someone needs retrieving, a learning and growth process. The person who needs retrieving still has something to learn or let go of, and needs to see beyond their fears and beliefs. I think it still boils down to the fact that non-physical helpers don't just interfere. They help but we need to seek the help. And think about how much we can learn from getting to partake in retrievals!
If things were made so easy for us, we would never work harder.
