I've recently aquired some audio on remote viewing, I'm going to try it out. Does anyone, or has anyone ever had any experience with this? I'll try this right before bed tonight around 12mid. eastern. I'll send details tomorrow morning... Hopefully I won't slip into an OBE or something. I have before (long story - it's archived somewhere on this board though), but I won't go into that now... well, I'll check back in a few for some messages. 'Till then!

Hmm, very VERY interesting...I can't wait to try it tonight. Question: can you remote view a target that you have pre-meditated? For instance, if I wanted to visit my wife (while she's in NC and I'm in Maryland)... Has any evidence suggested that this method is possible?

I took the Remote Viewing Practicum program at The Monroe Institute and it was fantastic.  We did it in groups of 3 mostly and it was instaneous when focusing on what was in the envelope. We were taught by Skip Atwater, one of the best, who trained Joe McMonagle.

I see going out to find a person, such as in retrievals or visiting with friends, family, that would involve emotions and would have to be done with their agreement to accept your presence. of course, many bonded couples have been reported to visit with each other spontaneously. so go for it, see what u can discover!

addition later: forgot to mention I and a few other from time to time experience a curious remote viewing dyslexia thing...I had 3 numbers to image, say in sequential order; the picture I attained while doing experiment 2, turned out later to be actually experiment 3 in every detail. number one and two, were wrong hits. or too vague. I suppose to avoid this is just to work on one image at a time so not to get confused.

Ok, that message board I said I was trying to join... well, I just read the rules and it says you have to be a graduate of the program to join.

Well, I'm not THAT interested.  I wouldn't buy the program, it was expensive and not my thing, I'm sure.

I once had what I would call a "mind travel" (same thing as remote viewing?) 

Years ago we were away camping, and I was worried about our house for some reason.  It is just like me to worry!  I can't just seem to have fun and relax.   So as we lay down to sleep that night I focused so hard on trying to just feel if everything was okay at home.  And within about a minute or two I could clearly see our living room as clear as if I was standing right there in the house.  I was shocked and did indeed have the feeling that things were okay.  It only lasted a few seconds. 

So was that experience a real time zone view of my home at the moment? 

It was not just a memory of home, it was much too real and clear.  Yet it did not feel like an out of body experience either since I very much felt myself physically in my tent.   It seems that only my vision was in my house.  Does that make sense? 

Anyone have any experience with this?

Really!  Mairlyn, will you describe it?  Did you confirm with your friend what you saw?  And was it exactly like seeing with your physical sight?  Would you say it was easy to achieve this, or was it necessary to fuel it by extreme desire?  (such as mine was fueled by so much worry)

On that RV website that Alysia pointed out, it said in the instructions for remote viewing that when clearing your mind you should not pay attention to things you recognize or things that are familiar to you because it is just your imagination making stuff up and should be ignored.  It says that remote viewing will be "indistinct profiles, shapes, and colors but they will not look like something identifyible".  Incidentally, I did get one of the pics on their test pretty accurately, but it was not picture perfect vision.  In my mind I didn't know what I was looking at and could only described certain details, but they seemed to be perfect hits.  (Perhaps that was because the instructions told me I would only get "indistinct profiles" so that is why my mind expected, nothing more).

Why would there need to be visualization rules in order to remote view?  Do they just say this for the general person who has no clue about visualization, visions, ESP, clairvoyance, OBE's and the like? 

I keep thinking about how Bruce's Perceiver & Interpreter explanations can be applied to more than just retrieval work.  I had an OBE once that proves (to me) the process of how the perceiver and interpreter idea works. 

So if vision during an OBE can get changed because of interpretation, why can't the same thing happen while you are attempting to remote view? 


Here's my OBE example of how I interpreted what I saw into something I could understand:

At first I didn't know I was out of body, I just thought I had actually woken up.  I got out of bed and the clock said 10:00 a.m.  I walked to the living room and saw my son sitting on the couch watching cartoons.  I went and stood behind the couch and looked out the window and saw that the weather over the neighbor's yard was dark stormy clouds, and I said, "Wow, look at the weather over there!"  The next thing I know is I am waking up and getting out of bed.  The clock said 10:06 a.m.  At this point I did not remember what had just happened.  So I walked to the living room and saw my son sitting on the couch watching cartoons, but I still did not remember the OBE at this point even though everything was exactly the same.  I stood behind the couch and looked out at the neighbor's yard.  In the driveway was a truck that said "Weatherization Works!"  Underneath that it said "Energy Savings Partners" and the logo said "ESP".  It was at that point that I fully remembered the OBE experience just minutes earlier. 

But I wondered why in the OBE I did not see the truck but saw and mentioned weather instead. 

I had this experience before I knew about Bruce and learned about how the perceiver & interpreter works.  But I believe it applies to my experience because honestly, I have no idea what that weatherization truck was for.  (I keep meaning to call the number that was on the side of the truck and ask exactly what it is they do).

Yes, that is true Alysia, it is hard to read in an OBE.  Or is it just that it's hard to retain it in memory?  I am sure that is what caused me to make the interpretation of "weatherization" into me noticing the weather outside.  And I have always been facinated by the weather, so I'm sure that is why I interpreted it into stormy weather, so that it would stick in my memory better. 

I am amazed that is wasn't automatic to remember the OBE.  That proves we do have a lot more of these experiences than we realize.


On that RV site, I tried only 3 of the tests.  I completely missed the first 2, then on the last one I was very close.  Not sure how I would get rated by an expert in the field, but it was a picture of several sailboats sitting on a beach next to the water.   What I saw in flat images was several things pointing upward like spikes.  And to the left I wrote the word "splashing".  (The left side of the picture was where the water was).  Well I think it was pretty good.  My spikes certainly looked like the points on the boats.  But I was not impressed with having to expect to not have clear vision.  I guess I am just used to it and have come to expect it. 

Glad you are working hard on dreams.  You know, it is one of my favorite topics.  I actually started writing a book on dreams before I changed my mind to just write about my paranormal experiences and such.  I can include my dream stuff in there too but wasn't sure where I wanted to go with a book solely on dreams.  My ideas kept crossing over into the spiritual and paranormal.
