Thank you all for your interest and help with this.  I appreciate it.

And Alysia, your take on all this is so insightful.  I too have always felt protected, not that I am fearless, but I have always had a sense of being watched over.  I guess it will always intrigue me the way guidance can do its work!  My guides fooling me because they knew I'd do the opposite!  I love it!

It's hard for me to understand that there are bad people outside of this physical world.  I don't want to have to understand it either, not directly.  I will take everyone's word on it.  I am not a religious person, don't believe in demons or devils, but I know there is so much out there that I don't know about, and I chose to keep believing that I will always be protected no matter what.  Hope that doesn't sound naive.

Thanks to all!
Vicky

Donald, it comes to mind that since the Kundalini is represented by a serpent coiled at the base of the spine, i.e. the root chakra, that this may have been a visualization of his Kundalini telling him that it was time for his Kundalini awakening and that it wasn't some demonic serpent.  Just my views. I don't believe in using the word demon as there's too much collective fear around that word and mis-interpretation down through the ages. never encountered a demon and not curious about them. my take on that is there are highly selfish folks around and about and these beings can be, take your pick, physical, non/physical and/or of alien origin insofar as another planet is concerned but we all at least come from the same universe, unless theres another universe I haven't come across yet. lol.

I completely agree with you Alysia. I too have never encountered any so called 'demons or negative energy' in all my explorations, retrievals, etc. You are right, there is so very much collective fear around the thought of demons and if one dwells on them, then the thought form appears.

And I have had many encounters with Greys all my life (uncovered in past life regressions) and with Greys at the Gathering. Also with my praying mantis type soulmate, Jukro who has been with me all of this life and in other past/multidimensional lives.

Don't forget that there are 'good' and 'bad' in all races. Do not give in to fear as that is what holds back love. Love and fear, as has been pointed out so many times over the years in this forum, cannot exist at the same time.

Love, Mairlyn Wink

_______

I know exactly what you are talking about Vicky because I considered myself always to be naive just a few years back, but life has a way of making us less so as we go along with little nudges from guidance in that area. I really don't think theres a conspiracy out there operating to buy or seduce your soul by the dark guys....like Mairlyn said, not to worry, the focus on love, and what it is exactly tends to abolish fears.
it's focus that counts...it's quite easy to find support for the existence of evil, yet on the other hand it's just as easy to focus on searching out the everyday heroes that are everywhere really, it's just that you can't focus on both, fearsome beings, or loving beings, it's gotta be one or the other for your choosing. I was once asked during a paranormal experience which do u choose for this life? power or love? I talked back to the spirits and asked well, do u really need to ask? of course I choose love, but the thing was even though my spirit had chosen to manifest love, I had to learn in C1 consciousness that about affirming my choice daily and I didn't know this would be part of my curiculum, about speaking for myself within choosing, within affirmation that which I had chosen. so I was grateful for the encounter to know this was nessessary, but at the time, it seemed as if I were on trial and it was rather well, I was in terror, but needn't have been so, because I had chosen so long ago, I didn't understand that I would choose everyday. make any sense?
the gist is we are so creative, we will find what we seek, but as for me, I find love within you people out there because that's what I wish to see and what I choose to see.
I think u have such an amazing story there Vicky, I shall not be forgetting that one! lol.
we are not alone folks, we are safe here in the end so remember that when you're watching the movie. choose love....

Vicky and Marilyn,

I agree that the word "demon" conjures up a lot of fear and that obsession with the demonic can be detrimental to our spiritual health.  I acknowledge  that it is unclear whether "demons" are nonhuman entities or the collective mind of whole hells of discarnate humans.  But however you imagine them, there seem to be astral entities that can do real harm.  Astral adept Robert Bruce has seen a young child being murdered by demonic entities from the astral plane.  In his research on exorcisms, Malachi Martin discovers an American case in which a young athletic priest is instantly killed the moment he reaches the bed of a possessed man.  The priest had already performed a successful exorcism on someone else and evidently began to attribute his success to his own "skill."

I have recounted some of my own family's experiences with possession on this site and will summarize 2 family encounters for the newbies.
(I) I witnessed my own brother (then age 16) leave a hockey game prematurely to get on a bus for a long ride to a coffee house.  God had telepathically given him the name and location of a young man who was possessed and entrusted my brother with the mission of performing an exorcism.  He had never even thought of doing anything like that before.  After his long ride, he arrived at the coffee house and was approached by a stranger who strangely remarked, "You're here on a special mission, aren't you?"  Shortly thereafter, the possessed young man showed up with a gang of thugs who started to  harrass the patrons.   My brother walked up to him and boldly declared, "[Name,] God has shown me that you're possessed and has sent me to perform an exorcism."  This triggered sarcastic guffaws, but when my brother closed his eyes, prayed, and touched [Name] on the forehead, he fell down prostrate, writhed for a few minutes like a snake, and quietly said "thank you."  The victim's gang members immediately became concerned about their own relationship with God.  I don't know what happened to them later, but [Name] became a well-published author on spiritual issues.

(2) My uncle G was a young minister who had a young son E (age 3).  One night G was performing an exorcism on a woman in her home and E was kept with his aunt in the car outside.  The moment the exorcism was completed, young E's eyes rolled up in his head and he slipped into a deep trance.  My aunt and uncle realized that the evil entity that had just been expelled was now trying to possess E.  In response to their fervent prayers, E came out of the trance and returned to normal.  E, now a psychiatrist, recalls that he was cradled in the loving arms of Jesus during this ordeal.

So while I agree that any obsession with the demonic is counterproductive, I disagree that we should put our heads in the sand and pretend that such evil phenomena never manifest themselves.
i repeat what I've said a couple of times on this site; No one I know who has read the exorcisms documented in Malachi Martin's chilling book "Hostage to the Devil" has come away still skeptical of the evil reality of the demonic.

Hi guys...interesting responses here!!!  Grin
For most of my life I had been told that I was 'evil' or 'possessed' because of the strange capabilities that I started to develop in my late teens.....
Thru reading these responses, I have another question now......with relation to the 'serpent' asking to be allowed into the heart'......how do we know when a request is from a good source, as a guide, or...from something bad, as in demonic?...or, just something bad?
And if these requests are made to us while we sleep...holy cow, how can we trust in ourselves not to be tricked by a deceiving force? eeeks!

MD,

The worst aspect of this topic is that conventional minds tend to attribute mysterious forces that don't operate as they expect to the demonic.  Demonology too often becomes a catchbag for phenomena that the less curious are unwilling to explore.   Even a spiritual giant like Swedenborg was thought by many to be demon-possessed.

As for your basic question, the key for me is this: the clairvoyant pastor initially thought his gift was edifying and divinely inspired.  But in his hypnogogic encounter with the serpent, his instincts screamed at him to resist his strong desire to invite the entity in.  MD, I suspect you would always sense the negative vibe and have the strength to resist what should be resisted and to explore what should be explored.
