Are we all prisoners?
Aug 4th, 2005 at 5:30pm

Hi,

This may seem like a silly question but whilst we are alive on this earth we have to endure our every day problems and then when we die, if there is an after life, we have to endure more various states of existence. According to this website the suicide victims end up in some miserable grey fog and some end up in better states of existence but it still looks like a never ending endurance test to me that no one can escape from. We are stuck in a system of spiritual life.

What is worse is that the system has no morality whatsoever. If someone kills themselves I would show them tremendous sympathy but your system throws them into some dark mist which  is immoral.

Also I don't really care if there is no life after death because if I have no consciousness, I cannot suffer.

I would like to think that I am a highly compassionate human being but it's hard to live a totally happy life when there is so much suffering all around me. To become happy it is sometimes easier to ignore the suffering and get on with my own selfish life but I cannot do that.

Life=suffering
God=immoral

Have you ever thought what will happen to your theories of life when the earth gets hit by a asteroid and blows up?

yes, I have. but heres a more mind stumping question: maybe you are already dead and don't know it but have been placed in an area to continue to believe you are alive.

prisoners? then we must find who has the keys....

I love it Alysia. Or maybe we're all dreaming and at night when we sleep (or so we think we do), we're in reality.

Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream.....
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,
life is but a dream Wink

Hi,

I wish I knew where to find the keys but I don't.

Another question worth considering is why does n't God create us perfectly from day one so that we can go direct to heaven and not have to go through many lives of suffering.

Also why does God never show his face. He simply remains a mystery and then we end up with competing religions all trying to kill each other.

The worst thing of all is the food chain. We have animals eating animals which is totally barbaric.

It seems to me that God does not exist but perhaps the devil does because life is so cruel.

I can see that I will never get the answers to my questions because nobody has the answers.

Hi bill38,
my answer is: The tales that are told in most churches about god are not true. God is not like a big sized human with human attributes.

well, you have the answers...for yourself.. your answers are not my answers, but sometimes we can agree and rejoice in that. one thing I noticed about life is when I'm down, tomorrow somehow looks different; nothing stays the same, not even a bad mood, or a state of depression. but I think u have to read books, and study and meditate, ask for help, do everything u can to help yourself out of the pits. I think I know where you're at as I think I've been there. all I can do is share what I did to get out of it...and what I did is not the only way, so if u want to know, I got mad. I said I was leaving this planet..lol..wheres my spaceship?  I meant I was going to follow hubby into the great beyond. but before I did I offered a deal. I've always spoken aloud to the air. well, the air responded. might not work for you though, but you could try getting mad (don't punch anyone) state what u need to the air, then sit back and wait, I mean release the need to have instant satisfaction. guides will assist you in the right direction. after all, haven't you had enough of survival of the fittest idea?

that reminds me....I was raising ducks. love of my life. ducks...darn, I love ducks...built a pen and darn if a coon didn't get in there and tear one of my ducks up real bad, but didn't kill him, just left him bloody and featherless..he could have at least managed to put him out of his misery...but no....took my duck to the vet..here's the innane conversation:
yes mam?
it's my duck...could u put him to sleep please?
yes, mam, you say it's your dog you need to euthanize?
It's d-u-c-k, duck and could somebody hurry please, he's suffering.
just a minute mam, I'll check who's available on staff, please have a seat.
five minutes later a vet says to bring my dog in.
it's  a duck! is this the first time somebody brought in a duck? it's a pet duck, does anyone have feelings for a duck or am I crazy?

the world started to suck back then. I got to thinking about coons. it must have been starving to death and I couldn't get mad at it. the failure was mine. I was just learning how to keep safe my own. mother nature can be cruel or kind or indifferent. deal with it. I took the right action by taking the duck in. that's the best I could do. so u do the best you can do and keep shining your light when it's dark out there. like I said before you can't always get what you want but you can get what you need. let me know if you are inspired (hee, the objective) if not I may have to change my approach...I do care if that helps any. love, alysia

God does show his face. Just look in the mirror. Look at everyone else. We are all sparks of God.  Roll Eyes

Alysia, I have a friend here who has a dozen ducks, has had them for years. They are her babies. When something is wrong with one of her babies, she takes it to the vet. She even had to take one to the vet once to have help with laying an egg that was too big. I went with her to the vets once with a duck on my lap, one on my feet and one between us.  The rest were in the back seat of the car. This was a few years ago when I lived here before. She used to send me duck feathers in her letters when she had moved to Arizona for awhile. Wink

Great question...
Well, if you think of Creation as Art....have you never gotten lost in the process of creating a picture or a poem, not knowing how it would turn out?  Have you looked at a manual and thought, what a great technique, but then gone on and created your own free-for-all?  That is art.  The free-for-all.  Pure expression.  We are that pure expression and we are marvelous to behold.  We are so amazing that nothing gets thrown away....

Hi Alysia,

You suggested that I might already be dead but I'm not aware of it. Well I have a physical body with a pulse so i can't be dead physically at least. My body will die some day so then I really will be dead.

Although we may all be part of god I still feel fairly powerless. It's true that I can only do the best I can but sometimes I feel that is not enough.

Getting through life is much easier if you become insensitive. For example, when we had the Tsunami disaster it did not affect me because i could not relate to it. It was like I was whatching a Hollywood movie that was purely fictional. In this respect I was insensitive but this helped to maintain my good spirits. However, when I heard that a girl recently killed herself because she appeared to be overwhelmed with exams and academia I felt very bad. Perhaps it's because I can relate to her situation and because I believe most suicides are very avoidable. I wish I could have done something to help her..

I'm starting to believe in the saying "ignorance is bliss" but having this attitude is very selfish and not one that I will ever adopt.

I'm sorry I confused you.
Bill said: You suggested that I might already be dead but I'm not aware of it. Well I have a physical body with a pulse so i can't be dead physically at least. My body will die some day so then I really will be dead.
____

let me explain better. when you are dead you still have a body. you have a duplicate of your physical body and it feels like physical flesh, in that it feels warm, with the same texture and so on. that is why many folk who cross over continue on thinking that they are still sick from the illness that they just died of. but only for a time. that is why I made a little joke that fell flat for you. but this is the reason a miniority of us can get stuck thinking we are still in the physical universe, because we know we are still ourselves, and we appear as to be as physical as before death. this is what a retriever does, is let them know they are on another plane of existance now and have less limitation of that physical body they still feel themselves to be within.
_____
I can tell you are a very compassionate person Bill, and if it helps any, I was not affected by the Tsunami either, 9/11 yes, Tsunami, no. I don't think you need to be down on yourself for insensitivity issues.

with love and light, alysia

Wow, Mairlyn..as I read what Bill wrote, I had the same thought:  Look in the mirror.

As I read down (I find I embarass myself less if I read all the posts before posting Grin) and read you had the same thought..all I could think was "wow"..that must be right on, confirmation and all that Wink

Shirley, that's very cool. Wink  Sometimes I don't read all the posts and then embarrass myself. LOL

Alysia, you wouldn't believe some of the characters I've met since my husband died and I really got started on my spiritual path. Well, I really didn't realize it was my spiritual path til many years later. Shocked I keep thinking about starting a book too but don't seem to have time. I should have time since I don't work.............but being a LightWorker keeps me pretty busy on the computer.  Roll Eyes

Maybe this will help you Nomad. This was in my email this morning and I want to share it with you:

__________________
"WHAT IF?"

God said:

Come closer to Me, beloveds, where anxiety does not exist. I
will tell you something. There is never a cause for anxiety.
Never. You find causes. You even plan ahead for them, but
there is never need for anxiety. Anxiety exalts itself and
writes situations on the calendar. But life on Earth
is what it is, and needs no preparing ahead of time. That’s
what anxiety is, a preparation.

There is no need to be anxious over death even. Why should
death be anxiety-provoking? Why is there fear? Anxiety doesn’t
stem the tide. Sometimes it might hasten it. But, really,
anxiety is no good to you at all.

Why don’t you just give up anxiety? Become a stranger to it.
Lovingly say goodbye to your anxiety. Perhaps you think it is
a preventive, a talisman that will ward off real danger. Trade
it in for something else.

What I want to say to you is that there is no danger. There
are only boundaries to jump over. You have boundaries set up
in your mind. Why don’t you wait until you come to them, or
they to you? Instead of counting sheep, you seem to count file
folders of anxieties. You take each one out and examine it:

“What if I can’t reach the next step? What if I lose my job?
What if I can’t find another? What if Mary doesn’t love me any
longer? What if I don’t love John any longer? What if I grow
old? What if I get sick? What if I have an accident? What if I
gain weight? What if I don’t have the right clothes? What if I
don’t have money? What if I don’t know everything? What if I
don’t become enlightened?”

Is there an end to your anxiety-stirring questions?

I will ask you some anxiety-reducing questions:

“What if you are young now? What if you are younger today than
you will ever be again? What if you are in good health now?
What if you will get better? What if you keep your job? What
if you are even honored at work? What if today is one of the
best days of your life? What if tomorrow is? What if you
express today something you have never expressed before?
What if today you think of something you have never thought of
before? What if you give a new kindness today? What if you
make a new friend? What if everyone likes you? What if you
don’t mind other people so much? What if some wonderful
unexpected event takes place today? What if some money comes
in the mail? What if a long-lost friend returns? What if
you feel good today? What if you are happy today for no reason
at all? What if you whistle while you work? What if nothing
bothers you today? What if you are all you want to be today?”

Have you been puzzling the wrong things in your mind? Have you
been choosing the wrong songs on the juke-box or inserting
the wrong-size coins into the slot machine? They can’t fit and
they won’t work. They can only work for you if it is your
desire not to play.

Anxiety is like keeping food in the fridge until it spoils.

Anxiety is like sitting in a car with no wheels.

Anxiety is like being in a boat without oars.

Where can anxiety get you?

Decide today that, for every anxious thought or feeling that
comes your way, you will replace it with something else. When
you feel fear, substitute love. When your nose is out of
joint, straighten it. Don’t pick weeds. Pick flowers. Pick
flowers for Me. Put some on your table. Give some away.

<on behalf of> GOD Smiley
