Hi Mystic Dreamer,

It is often said that no one can get lost
from their physical body or shut out of
it permanently unless they die.

There is a cord or string connecting your
body to your spirit body. Anytime you are
in any danger, it will zip you back at once.

In fact, you may project unconsciously
many times in your life, even great lengths
from your home, in dreams and such.

Hi M-D

The "silver cord" that connects the OBE adventurer is an extension of the space from which the OBE started. You're essentially moving into a space with a few additional dimensions that is still attached to the 3-space of your origin. The original space is dragged along rather like a bubble that has been stretched. The ponly way you can get lost is to break the bubble, which means turning off the attachment to your initial space by killing that body. That won't happen unless you have done something to overcome the body's natural mechanisms for existence, like taking strong drugs, jumping off a tall building etc.

As an example, one of the fastest and most direct methods of entering the spirit world is to simply hold your breath until you pass out, but while you maintain consciousness. So long as the body is healthy, all the systems will automatically reset and you pop back out into the world again. (I found this to be extremely unpleasant, but it works.) Hippies who did this with the aid of respiratory suppressors like barbiturates or opiates often had a somewhat more permanent experience. They got into the spirit world as desired, but the door closed because the body could no longer reset itself. The yoga approach is to simply slow the rate of respiration over a period of a few months of intense training (see Patanjali's Yoga Sutras or the Hatha Yoga Pradipika for examples) and healthy yogis have no problem at all.

Go for it. If you want "insurance" use prayer or meditation to connect you to God-Mind in advance, select a worthy purpose that benefits the universe, and have faith.
