Hello to everyone on the message board,
I've investigated about "life" after death and recently found this webpage, where I have scanned through different articles and the faq.. Yet, a fear overcomes me beyond reason. When I start thinking about it, death seems like such an awful thing (considering the fact that peopel say you won't feel anything anymore) that to make it simple, freaks me out.. Considering there IS an afterlife, do we meet the individuals we love over there? What reasuring information could I have? I appreciate anything you might tell me, since I have not worked up the courage yet to attempt afterlife exploration by myself. Thank you, photo83

Death is simply letting go of the physical body.  You will still be you.  Yes you will see and be with your friends and loved ones.

It might be helpful for you to figure out exactly what you are afraid of.  Most of our fears come out of our childhood experiences.  Many times we learn fear from others, such as our parents.  We also tend to think that we are our body, however, we are not... we are so much more as science is now beginning to prove.

I'm at the age when the body has begun to rebel against the indignities of three quarters of the century of rather dissolute living. Without going into the gory details, I'm rather looking forward to this one falling off and being replaced by a newer and better model. Hopefully I can also direct it into a lifestyle that is superior to the last one I tried. Unless you happen to be faced with immanent demise, I suggest that you relax and enjoy what you have going, and above all develop your spirituality. I thkn it was Jesus who told us, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and then all else shall be added unto you." Whereas you don't get much added on, except middle age spread, in the material world, you'll find that there is more new life available in the spiritual realms than most materialists even dream of.

I do past life therapy, and the people I work with always say that death is a tremendous relief. However, it seems that being born is a bit of a nuisance. Most people figure that birth is a far greater hassle than dying.
