First remembered retrieval
May 31st, 2005 at 11:03am

Hi,

I had read one of Bruce's books several years ago,  and while I find the idea of retrievals fascinating, I haven't made much of an effort to participate in one.  I was delighted to remember this from last night:

I was with my wife, and there was also a sense of a "ghostly" woman from around the 1800's timeframe.  I got the feeling that she was distraught about her son.

I figured out a way to adjust the wooden knobs on some type of a piano/organ device which altered the pitch or frequency produced by it.  After making the adjustments, I began playing the device. My wife then tapped me on the shoulder, and motioned at me to turn around.

The woman was now visible. She had a greenish hue about her. Her and I then clasped hands, which unleashed a flood of emotions in both her and myself.  There was a rush of pure relief from her, as if she had been lost in the wilderness for such a long time, and had been finally found.  She had been sooo tired and worried, but now everything was alright.  I wish I could better convey what was felt, but it looks like most of you know the feeling.  Smiley

I don't know what happened afterwards, but the the sense of release was so strong for both her, and myself.

This exchange between her and I made me realize how I mainly deal with others on a mental level, instead of an "energetic" one - as if I were using the wrong tool for the job.

I guess I had it in the back of my head that a retrieval was just for helping others, but am now able to see the possibilities beyond that limitation.

Thanks for reading this.

You conveyed this retrieval perfectly. Congratulations. Yes, I believe that every retrieval also helps us. Wink

Thank you, Marilyn!

Later, when I told my wife about the experience, it suddenly hit me that I was that woman's son.  To say that this realization floored me would be an understatement.  How could I ever forget such a thing?

Since my "real" mother is still alive, it certainly opens up an interesting avenue to pursue.  Smiley

Oloxio,

Yes, retrieval isn't always about helping some stranger.  Sometimes we are retrieving someone very close to us, sometimes it is us.

The proof of the pudding can be the way such an experience changes/heals something deep within us.

Thanks for sharing your retrieval experience.

Dear Shawn__rowland2003,

You posed a simple little compound question and it got me to thinking.  I finished reading Michael Newton’s, Destiny of Souls about two weeks ago (thanks Alysia and dave) and I’m still trying to integrate it and see where retrievals fit in.  So when you asked, “…if a person is reincarnated After death to grow spiritual [ly?] why would they need retrieved [to be retrieved?]…would they not be in another body?” I thought that I would attempt to answer according to my understanding of my most recent read Newton’s, and Weiss, Monroe and Moen’s research with what I’ve been learning/experiencing about my part/purpose in doing retrievals.   First, let’s assume that you have this “umugo” individual soul/spirit that was created at the Source/God (the there-there), in the past, present, and/or possibly future (Earth linear time) to learn/ teach by way of experience (the Plan).  Assume also that after an individual soul/spirit was created, they arrived in their true home there to join with other individual souls/spirits who also wanted/needed to develop further their own uniqueness from their one of its kind perspective to contribute to the totality of the groups understanding and its completeness.

Now what if some highly gutsy individuals choose to do their learning within a very limited environment (Earth-here) and when they arrive here they come with no memory of where they came from, why they came here, where here is, or even who they are. They forgot that souls/spirits are all connected, came from the same source, and are unique.  They forgot what it is like to be where (there) they are totally accepted, loved, valued, safe, stimulated, and at peace.  Of course, they still could access all this memory on the subconscious level but it could take many years or lifetimes here for the average “Joe” here to access it or be aware that they have been privy to that memory all along (for example-dreams/retrievals like Oloxio's or mine).

So what could they have come here to learn?  One reason might be that individuals come to learn what it is to experience emotion(s) , unique to this planet, and their resulting behaviors while the soul/spirit is held within the confines of a human body.  The incarnated human may unconsciously choose to experience the emotion of jealousy, for example, because they forgot that they are love/ lovable/loved and they fear lose of love because they forgot to remember that you join again there with those individuals involved in your experience here. And as a result of their experiencing of this emotion labeled/felt jealously, they might kill over it, be killed over it, choose to ignore it, or quickly rise above the hurt/anger emotions by remembering there is nothing to fear here or there because your eternally connected with you love and all other souls/spirits.  But as a result of being a soul/spirit in your human vessel, you have learned compassion, forgiveness, and love here to take back there knowing that you could learn under the extenuating circumstances of an illusion of living on an alien planet with no one to comfort you and still keeping the faith in loving yourself and others.  Newton mentioned that one individual he interviewed took many lifetimes and a lot of centuries to work through the single emotion of jealously and its offshoot emotions.  I also sensed after reading Newton that new souls coming here might be especially vulnerable to acting out as a result of experiencing this particular emotion and forgetting where they came from there while other new souls caught on more quickly.  He also mentioned individuals who came from different realities attempting to work on this plane and their difficulties in handling emotions and the residue caused by them.

Also assume or try to imagine, that we did not bring our total spirit/soul here, possibley 10% to 85% depending on the here challenge(s) we chose.  The rest were left back there or in other assorted here’s or there’s? Plus what if they on leaving this place here, we were emotionally attached to some aspects of the place here? For example emotionally attached to the feel of jealously, another individual, physical places, physical things like money, drugs, etc., or belief systems thought up by other groups of individuals who also forgot where they came from there?  Wouldn’t it make sense that some of that soul/spirit essence might fracture off and cling to places/situations/emotions that were experienced in here or left on the way there?  In other words, some of us when we left here, splintered off and now need to be brought back there with the help of others both from here and there. Choosing to come here with no conscious memory of our true home there can be a real "bummer".  So wouldn’t it make sense that for the “umungo” spirit/soul to complete its mission of gaining knowledge to contribute to the total group of soul/spirits there, back home, want to gather up its fragments or help others gather theirs?  Cause you gotta’ remember that the part of our “umungo” soul/spirit that is still existing in the there remembers our purpose and awaits our return because it hasn’t had the experiential learning situation here that we had here.  It needs that gutsy individual earthlings soul/spirit percentage to provide input for the benefit of the group knowledge there.

And couldn’t it be that another part of this unlimited “umungo” soul/spirit has already chosen to go back there to return again here, outside or inside our timeline and/or simultaneously, to learn/experience still yet another aspect of this thing called human emotion(s) and its resulting behaviors/beliefs and attachments.  Furthermore, might not the smart soul or the ones who weren’t too “blow away” by the experience and have the ability to get in touch with remembering their own truths learned/experienced back there-- would not have to splinter off and get lost for a while or need to be retrieved by themselves or others when they exit here.  They would get back to their true home there more intact and ready to rejoin their group of groups which includes individuals who are still incarnating here, done with incarnating here, newbies incarnating here, or individuals who never incarnated here, to plan another adventure here, there, or even parts of ourselves that are still living here

In answer to your question(s), for me the bottom line is that between all our travels between here and there (including other worlds like ours that we’re not yet aware of) back and forth, we grow spiritually.  However, the maximum potential spiritual growth lies with what we experience here because we take it so seriously Angry Tongue Embarrassed.  And sometimes parts of the soul/spirit that we bring here gets stuck somewhere between when we leave and needs to be retrieved due to our own attachments and forgetting.  As an aside, I also suspect that we grow from experiences of existences on other planes/places that are not like earth or there but are different i.e. places that deal primarily on mental planes as opposed to physical planes like Earth.  But my current bias for learning, IMO, is Earth, because after all what better place to learn/experience the love/connection under duress then by learning the adapting, flexibility and growth skills demanded/offered here?  What better place to learn about emotions  Grin Angry Shocked Cry Kissand remembering while in the middle of a seemingly life/death/etc. experience with all its perils then the Earth plane.  But I sure wouldn’t mind a break.
Let me know if I answered anything of what you were asking?  My response to your questions might have helped me to work through some of the things, which I’ve been trying to internalize. T
hanks and gratitude for you questions and Oloxio's  retrieval and the book I've been trying to digest.

Much love, Jean  Kiss

And remember that we are all so unique with only part of the puzzle which will ultimately make us whole in a better way. JK
