New Partnered Exploration of the Afterlife Workshop
The
primary goal of the exercises in this new workshop is to facilitate afterlife
contact experiences that can be validated as real during the workshop. The advanced Partnered Exploration technique
I've written about, and that was used to gather all the material for my fourth
book, Curiosity's Father, is taught in this workshop.

What's in a Workshop?
To
let you know some of the things participants learn in my workshop I've added
this section to this newsletter. Each
month I'll talk a little about what's in a workshop. We can use more than our rational, thinking mind to explore
beyond physical reality. This month my
topic is:
The Power of Placing Intent
I
agree with whomever said, Intent is everything. And if that’s true then Placing Intent is the beginning of
everything. One of this month’s
Workshop Participant Experiences illustrates the power of Placing Intent.
The
first concept to consider, regarding Placing Intent, is that there is an area
of consciousness that is Placing Intent.
And, that if you learn to focus your attention within this area of
consciousness any desire you express gets added boost toward fulfillment or
manifestation. So, to add boost to your
stated desire all that’s left to do is learn how to navigate to the area of
consciousness called, Placing Intent.
The
second concept to consider is that every area of consciousness has a specific,
unique feeling. And that by merely
remembering the feeling for specific area of consciousness our awareness is
automatically shifted to that area of consciousness. For example, those of you familiar with the Monroe Institute’s
Focus 10 area of consciousness would probably describe that it has a “certain feeling.” And that if you remember that “certain
feeling” for Focus 10 your awareness shifts to Focus 10. So, to learn to focus your attention within
Placing Intent consciousness, all that’s necessary is to find a way to
experience and identify that “certain feeling” for that area of consciousness. Then, any time you wish add boost to your
affirmations or other stated desires all you need do is remember that “certain
feeling” for Placing Intent. How you
gonna do that? Actually, the technique
I teach in the workshop is silly and simple.
It’s called the Silly Little Finger Bending Exercise and you can use
this exercise right now to learn that “certain feeling” for Placing Intent
consciousness.
The
logical engineer in me approached this, well, logically. If intent is everything then everything I do
must have been preceded by focusing my attention within Placing Intent
consciousness. Therefore, whether I am
aware of it or not, everything I do must have been preceded by experiencing
that “certain feeling” for Placing Intent, even something as simple as bending
my index finger. Normally I do this so
seamlessly I’m not aware of experiencing that “certain feeling,” and that’s
where the Silly Little Finger Bending Exercise comes in.
If
I take in Three Deep Relaxing Breaths and Three Energy Gathering Breaths (two
other workshop exercises) then close my eyes and focus all my attention on any
feelings that occur the instant before my index finger bends, I’ll experience
that “certain feeling” for Placing Intent for my finger to bend. A silly way to learn, perhaps, but
effective. With practice the Silly
Little Finger Bending Exercise can bring that “certain feeling” to
awareness. Once you KNOW that feeling
any time you wish to add boost to your affirmations or other stated desires,
all that will be necessary is to remember that “certain feeling” as you state
your affirmation. I know, I know, this
sounds so silly, but as one of this month’s Workshop Participant Experiences
demonstrates, IT WORKS!
Workshop Participant Experiences
Jackie’s Placing Intent Leads to Verified Contact
Jackie
attended the Miami workshop, hosted by Donna and Jack Brewer. By her descriptions of her experience during
the workshop I felt she perceives in much the same way I do, that is, more by
“impressions” than by strong visual content.
And like my own afterlife exploration experience early on, doubt and
conflicting beliefs appeared to be strongly influencing Jackie’s perception
during the exercises.
In
the section of the workshop that deals with doubt and conflicting beliefs I
describe my understanding of how and why our doubts and conflicting beliefs
work to block our perception. It’s a
basic Catch 22 situation. In order to
open perception beyond such blocking beliefs we need to experience something
that conflicts with those beliefs, and accept that experience as real. But, those conflicting beliefs tend to block
such experiences, the classic Catch 22.
One technique I teach in the workshop to get around this Catch 22 using
Placing Intent. Over the years I’ve
learned that if I Place Intent to have an experience that conflicts with my
blocking beliefs, that experience will happen.
Unbeknownst
to me, during one of the many ten minute breaks during the workshop, Jackie
decided to try this method of bypassing conflicting, blocking beliefs. She posted the results on the Conversation
Board at the website and with her permission an edited version of that post is
given below.
Jackie’s Post: (edited)
Well Bruce you hit the nail
on the head at the Miami workshop. After we got through discussing
"placing the intent" the first day, I went to a quiet spot and said
out loud to my guides " I am placing the intent to have an experience that
conflicts with my beliefs" and then I just let it go like you said. Honestly I had forgotten that I even said
that until last night....
For those of you who know me
from the board, a member of our family committed suicide March of 2000, and
that event is what catapulted me into searching for afterlife answers. Since
then Janice (another board member and dear friend) did a retrieval of Susan in
which she brought back extraordinary verifying information. You would think at
that point I could have gotten rid of this doubt. Unfortunately I myself have
had limited contact with Susan which has been very frustrating and has added to
my "doubt".
Last night, as I just
started to doze off I felt an overwhelming feeling of someone being in the
room. In my dream state I opened my eyes (yes the physical ones Bruce ;-) and
saw what appeared to be a billowy form standing in my doorway. Oddly I wasn't even afraid. I knew it was
Susan. At that point I "heard" (I say heard but it was more like I
just knew what she was saying) her say "I am so free now Jackie. Tell Charlie (her son and my husband) that I
did leave something to him and he can find it by calling Lee Memorial
Hospital". She motioned as if she
were going to touch my shoulder then she was just gone before I knew it.
Now I know this all sounds
crazy, but I sat there for like 2 hours shaking and crying because I didn't
know what to make of it. My husband
thought I was having a breakdown.
To make a long story short,
I made my husband call the hospital (the one mentioned was where Susan used to
work) and we ended up finding out that Susan had a $2000 annuity left for
Charlie in his name!! Talk about a
belief system CRASH! When he told me
it was like all the lights went out and I was standing in the dark! I couldn't believe that what I saw really
came out to be TRUE!!
So Bruce I guess I asked for
it and I certainly got it. Now I feel like I am walking around in a fog and I
can't shake it.
I just can't believe all
this has happened.
Jackie
The
Belief System Crash Jackie refers to is something else I teach about in the
workshop. In my experience it’s a
normal part of the process of opening one’s perception, and I discuss it in a
future Workshop Newsletter. Jackie’s
experience of using what she learned in the Silly Little Finger Bending Exercise
is one of the clearest examples of using that technique to bypass the Catch 22
of opening perception that I’ve yet seen.
Thanks
Jackie for being willing to share your experience with the rest of us.
Dora’s Delayed Action Verification Experience.
During
the Payson, AZ workshop held February 10 -11 Rosalie and I “road tested” one
the exercises for the new Partnered Exploring workshop, that exercise is called
“Getting A Message.” In this exercise
each participant writes the name of a deceased friend or loved one on a small
slip of paper. Each participant then
draws a slip of paper out of a basket, making sure they don’t draw the name
they wrote down. The object of the
exercise is to make contact with the person who’s name they drew, and get a
message for the person who provided the name.
In a previous Workshop Newsletter I shared Lauren’s verified contact
experience in that workshop.
After
the exercise Dora shared her experience with the group, but almost none of it
could be confirmed as verified by any stretch of the imagination. In her experience Dora had encountered a
truck driver, standing near an eighteen wheeler and very shy. None of this, according to the person who
provided the name made any sense. Over
two months later Dora posted what to her is, perhaps, verification that her
contact with this trucker during the workshop was real . . .
Dora’s Post (edited)
I’m sure some who attended
the AZ workshop recall my experience with the truck driver, for those of you who weren’t there, here it
goes . . .
Bruce was trying out the partnered exploration exercise at the workshop and to
make the story short... I was suppose to contact the father of one of the other
participants, having drawn his name out of the basket. ... but instead, when I
asked the Helper to come and guide me to the person, a man come into my view
standing near an 18wheeler. This
man had a special manner... he seemed
to be angry and was uncommunicative.
When he become aware of me, he walked behind the truck kind like he was
hiding...I got a good look at him and the truck, but couldn't get much more out
of the experience. During the
debriefing I told what I saw, but the man who I saw didn't belong to anyone at
the workshop. So just like anyone else
I dismissed the experience as either "imagination" or just another
undefined, unverifiable contact.
Last night I was flipping
through channels on the TV and I stopped on Lifetime "Unsolved
Mysteries" program. In the next
segment of that program I saw ....THE man I saw with the 18wheeler during the
Payson, AZ workshop exercise. On the
program they showed a home video of the man, and it was HIM! His name is Devin Wilson. He was a truck driver and in 1995 he drove a
loaded truck from Kansas to California.
He called home to say he was heading back, and that was the last time
his boss or family heard from him.
According to the Unsolved
Mysteries program, eyewitnesses saw Devin Wilson near Flagstaff, AZ, not far
from where the workshop was held in Payson.
He appeared to be confused, driving his rig in the woods, around and
around, and he almost hit a car. At one
point eyewitnesses said he was standing outside his truck, and they asked him
if he needed help. But he was mumbling to
himself and the witnesses got scared and left.
The next day another eyewitness saw him, confused and acting
strangely. That eyewitness called the
police, who later found the 18wheeler and all Devin’s belongings, but a search
of the area failed to find him, or his body.
No one has reported seeing Devin alive since then.
I have no doubt in my mind
that I saw Devin Wilson during that exercise in the workshop. But since at the time, during the workshop,
it couldn’t be verified I dismissed it.
I hope that by sharing this with all of you it will help you to NOT
dismiss your own "imagination" but be open to any possibility even if
your afterlife exploration experiences cannot be immediately verified.

Dora
