Last night I dreamed that I woke up and was sitting at my computer table when some odd things began happening. I was sure I was awake, but as it turned out this was all a dream.

The light was on, meaning it was much brighter in the room than it would typically be if I awoke early for some reason. My curtains were open, which was odd, but I think I  accepted that it was early morning, never mind that it was a working Friday now.

I could see the shapes of people going back and forth, but no actual persons. There was a sense of daylight and activity outside. Then, my phone seemed to "ring" but I don't remember a sound. I saw the display moving, which happens with the phone folded. A light runs across the cover displaying who is calling, a name or number depending on my contact list.

I saw "AFTERLIFE KNOWLEDGE" run across the screen! So I picked up the phone to answer it and held it to my ear. My close friend answered, one whom I never see but only talk with on the telephone about once a week. I was very excited and began babbling about how the words "afterlife knowledge" had run across my telephone, so I must have had genuine contact with the afterlife, or how could that have happened?

I looked out of my window through the opened curtains and I saw what appeared to be white birds flying across the still sky -- but they were clouds in the shape of doves, peace doves. I excitedly babbled about this on the phone to my friend.

I retreated to my private room, where I like to relax and talk. I was beginning to get nervous. I realized that I was opening up to the "other world" and that anything could happen. I truly felt like I was awake and experiencing paranormal activity in waking life. A man appeared nearby, animated, friendly, and I have no idea who he was. I became alarmed and began shouting, "I banish you! I banish you!" I knew I had the power to cause this person to vanish by willing it, as I intuited that the afterlife could not actually "impose" itself on me.

I was obviously a little over the top with emotions, not particularly rational. But the man did vanish. I continued talking to my bemused friend the whole time.

Later, I woke up and was astonished. I had been sure I was already awake.

And I was highly amused that AFTERLIFE KNOWLEDGE had given me a call!

That's wonderful news, Mogenblue! I have been practicing my "grapevine" step, which is loads of fun in a circle.

Yes, some of us here have been known to dance in a circle, and even to hold hands while doing so, "out there".

I like the "I banish you! I banish you!" part.

I remember a dream, years ago, where I saw a UFO - and was convinced I was wide awake. It was signalling back to me by its flying pattern that it had noticed I had seen it - I just stood there being totally wowed. And then I started dancing in the streets out of joy.

I dare bet I would have reacted similarly as you when suddenly someone would have appeared next to me that moment. It would have been all too much in one go.
