movie apollo 18 upset my little dog barney

hi  i watched the dvd last night apollo 18 and my little dog barney was asleep next to me on the settee.

in one scene, one of the astronauts says that hes picking up this strange frequency as he is still in orbit and his two friends are on the moon.

the astronauts start hearing this strange sound

when this frequency came,my little dog barney bless him, came straight out of his sleep, lifted his head and started howling like a wolf and this howling was so loud.

it really scared me as i did not expect this, but after he finished howling,he started to bark and ran toward the stairs and got behind his brother my other little dog benny.

i have had barney and ben for 8 yrs now and i have never heard barney howl like a wolf.

i'm really serious here,do you think that barney picked up that frequency in his head, because i couldn't hear it on the movie but hes got that extra sensory hearing.

my sister dianna told me that her two little dogs did the same started howling.

i wonder what do you think as barney was truly upset by this dvd and he stayed on the stairs with benny till the dvd had finished.

love and god bless   love juditha barney and benny xxxxx

Hi Juditha,

Dogs have extremely sensitive hearing and can hear sounds which are out of the range in which we can hear.

So it's possible that to your dog there was a high pitched sound which he found to be unbearable but you couldn't pick up on it as it's out of your hearing range.

An example of this is dog whistles. If you blow the whistle then it seems to make no sound but to the dog it does as they are able to hear it when we can't.

I'm not saying this is the case but it's possible.
