Greetings Kyo.
I normally don't like seeing things like the video you posted, but I felt compelled to watch it anyway. I know the world has many evil people in it, and the world has been that way all through history. It made me cry. I cried almost as much as when I saw this video by Paul McCartney:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ydyhpoLrG8 I would be ashamed to call myself a human but I realize that these kind of people are exceptions to the human race, not the rule. I do wish though that more people would realize what happens to the slaughtered animals and go vegetarian like I am.
Not only do many of these animals suffer their whole lives, but the bad karma is carried into the humans that consume them. This is why so many meat eating people have painful ailments. I'm 51 years old and stopped eating meat 13 years ago. I currently feel healthier than I was back then, with no pain in my body at all.
Sometimes I wish I could have superhero powers and stop the bad people from inflicting harm, but how do I know if they are creating new bad karma, or just settling old karmic debts. I agree with the Hindu teachings of vairagya, or non-attachment to this world:
