water dreams

series in one night:

I am pulling up to a house in a car driven by a 'relative'. He pulls the car around in an impossible way so that the car scrapes the corner of the house in a neat trick. I get out of the car with him and one other passenger (sister?). I immediately find myself in a grassy 'swamp' on the way to the entrance/side door (?). The water is up to my shoulders but not so high for them. I can walk through it and my shoes do not stick in mud. I am finding it unpleasant but doable.

Inside I try to dry off as time goes on with several 'towels/rags' which are not clean. This family is 'related to me' and we are long lost cousins and such. I don't remember them, but I pretend to. My real life sister is around. We are just 'fitting in' the best we can.

The house is messy and cramped in some quarters, doesn't seem big enough for all the people there, but a 'party' progresses. We are eating food which is 'Southern' but not fancy. A black fellow, older, comes to visit and brings out 'herb' to smoke. The rolling papers are too big. I am trying to roll a few, and telling a young fellow that 'every man' should learn how to smoke. The others who might not 'approve' conveniently have left the room, and everyone kinda does what they like here. A familial and jovial atmosphere.

I walk across the lawn and find a veritable art fair of jewelry made by a neighbor. I vow to return later.

I accompany a few women to the edge of a vast expanse of water. A woman begins singing a beautiful song about the ocean, being at the ocean. She is a soprano and we all fall into a reverie. It is not an ocean of 'waves' but calm and still, with plants/trees coming up, more like a lake, but perhaps the edge of a bay, a cove?

I am swimming with the 'others'. Some are underneath the surface, and we are all in a tight group, so much that I am worried about kicking someone by accident. We swim together very fast. We aren't even moving our arms or legs, actually, but rippling along like fish.

all I remember,
b

Hi b,  If this were my dream I might interpet it as a time of discovering my path - creatively - spritually - and submerging myself in different things. Requiring some sort of communication or way to express the mind opposed to surpressing emotions...an outlet I guess - like poetry or blogging?
