Preparation to begin retrievals
Apr 10th, 2010 at 12:43am

Interested in people's experiences of how they prepare to begin retrievals?

When i first started doing retrievals several year ago, I felt like I had to get to a certain meditation 'zone' where I was receptive enough to begin. Nowadays, I find myself trying them in full consciousness.

So much of this is eliminating preconceived ideas isn't it? Its the recognition for me that all the non-physical information is always there all around us constantly. We just have to take off the blinkers and minimise the distractions physical distractions and them BAM...

I do find the depth of the imps are usually less impressive when they have physical reality information to compete with for my attention. But who's to say that they have to be in full 3D colour/stereo sound to be real enough not to dismiss as a figment of imagination?

On the flipside, I'm also realising how much quality and depth of information some 'imps' can actually have. I just finished a session where a single 1 second imp gave me so much information that to describe it all, I could write about it for the next ten minutes including detailed information about the surroundings, the emotions of the retrieval subject and the purpose of the supporting cast of helpers.  Shocked

Good luck. I'm still trying myself.

Alchemist,

Agree with everything you said. Since 2001 I've for the most part used Bruce's breathing and gathering energy preps before I venture into the afterlife. I use to take several minutes with them but nowadays it's usually just a few seconds and I'm good to go. Knowing that it's real makes a huge diff too.

Much love Smiley,

Ginny
