early retrievals: April '99

Friends, hi, promised some unvarnished retrieval accounts from the archives.  here's a couple.  had finished Eternal Life and How To Enjoy It by feb/march 99 and got hemi-sync box set "Going home" a bit later.  Plus reading Bruce's first book somewhere in there.

Ist conscious retrieval using hemi-sync April14/99

"Middle-aged heavy-set farmer type from Acton area; tractor accident.  dead maybe two months, maybe more.  harold, red plaid shirt, blue denim overalls, big square frame glasses.  Didn't believe I was anything real at first.  Maybe figment of imagination, or demon.  Not church going or religious, because of parents and Depression times.  Challenged him to believe me and to come and "just take a look" at heaven.  Took my hand, although reluctant in a 'manly' way.  Suddenly we're flying over a vaguely lovely valley.  People down below, smiling and waving.  I let him off and say farewell.
Return to "touring interstate" tape near focus 27.  Have brief chat with Brian and Cathy; Cathy says Jim has been visiting them when asleep and they know what's going on.  Brief chat; tape takes me away too soon.
Understand Bruce Moen's need for verification.  Just like his first retrieval, I've no idea whether I made it up or not.
I'm going on trust, as he advised."

notes:  Brian and Cathy live together "over there"; Jim, a fellow hemi-sync user, more experienced than I, who met Cathy at focus 27 during a tape exercise and she said (rather grumpily according to Jim) "How did you get here, I had to die to do it?" and then hooked her up with Brian, an acquaintance of ours who passed from suicide.  Brian and Cathy turned out to be "greeters" for many of my later retrievees.

Contact/retrieval; June16/99:

"Listen to 'homecoming' tape;  somewhere around focus 24 see either African or maybe Maori native, staring at me, saying, "I know what you are".  At focus 26 quick impression of someone conducting a service (christian)  At 27 image a bench and sit on it.
Middle-aged lady, straight blonde hair to shoulder, lilac teeshirt and flowing summer skirt (and matching shawl) sitting there.  Regina Gershon (/) from Albuquerque (maybe).  Introduce myself; long chat ensues.
She is quite comfortable but obviously confused.
g: "How did you get here?"
"I'm not exactly sure. I was driving my husband's car and then suddenly I was here.  How did you get here?"
g: "I'm meditating on a bed in Toronto. I come here quite often"
"how do you think I got here?"
g:"Car accident maybe."
"Why don't I remember then?"
g; "Your guide could have pulled you out of your body just before impact.  I have heard of such cases.  I must say you're quite composed."
"How could I not be?  This place is so beautiful."
g: "Well some people are confused and annoyed."  Impression that she'd be composed anyway.
We have quite a chat.  I tell her I won't be around long and that when I'm gone she should explore a little and meet people.  That there's lots to find out and fun things to do.  She asks about art.  Yes, there's plenty of that in the afterlife.  AS much as one could want.  All that cultural stuff is well provided for here.
So this was the afterlife then?  Yes this is part of it.  She is very gracious, an upper class lady.  Driving her husband's Mercedes I think.  She seems to think he'll be annoyed.  I tell her not to worry about that and just have some fun.  Although there'll be a funeral and she'll feel drawn to it.
I ask about family that has already passed over; mother and father.  Well, they'll show up sometime, not to worry about that.  She doesn't seem at all fazed.  Does not, I suspect, have children, but don't ask.  Perhaps grown up and moved away.  A touch of loneliness inside that regal composure.  As tape ends I make my farewells, reminding her that, if she has any questions, to just ask someone.  That's there's plenty of people ready to help.  We part on a "see you again sometime" note.

June22/99:

Listen to Right of Passage tape.  Very relaxed but not much happening.  Frustration on the horizon: I want to be making more progress.  At 27 call for Gerald Byerley a few times.  Not there I don't think.  Image of woman I talked to last weekend, - can't remember name.  Apologize.  She says it doesn't matter.  She wants to thank me for talking and being so friendly.  She has been seeing around and enjoying herself.  "Lots to do here" she says.  I seem to be unfocused again.  Apologize; she seems not to be bothered.

Hi Gordon,

Thank you for sharing some of your retrieval accounts!
I look forward to your posts!

It's fun to hear the various manners that different people have when retrieiving.  These differences show that our own wills are operating and that we are not forced into any aspect that doesn't seem comfortable to us or our retrievees.

Retrievals are a much faster way to progress in  spiritual abilities because a retrieval involves encountering  another person, a place or two, and some entities from spiritual realms.  If you went out aimlessly exploring, it might take quite awhile to get your will power involved with that many aspects of the afterlife.

Gordon's a role model, a leading retriever, a gentleman , and a scholar !
