Hallo All! My first posting on the Retrieval Forum, though I've been reading lots of it!
Some may have seen my postings on the Afterlife Knowledge forum, under "Alzheimer's and Afterlife". In one of the replies on that thread, Betson kindly suggested that I post a message here, as I'm wondering if a retrieval exercise might be needed for my mother. She passed on in February, having suffered Alzheimer's for some 12 years, hence the main reason I wonder if she needs help. Also, the manner of her passing was very traumatic for her, with relentless gasping for breath, and frustrated attempts to communicate her distress.
I am willing to provide many more details (places, names, etc etc) if anybody is interested in helping here - I believe the standard practise is via a PM? Of course, I understand the results would be posted here, which is only fair, and not a problem.
One point I'm curious about - if the target of a retrieval isn't in fact "stuck", and therefore not in need of helping, does the would-be retriever simply find nothing - or would some communication occur anyway, perhaps from the target in their rightful ("unstuck") place?
I am, as you will have guessed, relatively new to all this!
My thanks to you for reading,
Best wishes.
