A Dream that did not work like other dreams?!?!
Feb 17th, 2008 at 5:16pm

Today I had a few dreams, some involving my ex-girlfriend but I don't feel those have any real importance. The important dream went as follows:

I was outside of a house and I suddenly realized I was in a dream. I have been reading about lucid dreaming on the net so I sort of felt like the dream was leaving since I realized it was a dream... so I did the technique which is listed which is to spin around in the dream. When I was done I decided to fly so I leaped into the air.
(Please note that I usually have a problem flying in dreams.)
I went higher and higher and defied gravity... It turned out to be a very high jump...about the height or more so of a building.
I screamed NO, This is MY DREAM. I CAN FLY.
Normally in a dream you are aware of this means you can do anything...

I slowly fell back to the Earth.

When I landed the evil guy was there with other misc. people I cannot bring to mind. I then remembered one of my other focus's/goals in dreaming... Meeting a guide. I yelled that I wanted my helper. The evil guy laughed and said there is no helper.

(Unfortunately I forgot to call out for the loved one that I also wish to meet in my dreams.)

Then I ran into the house. The evil guy sent two sexy female vampires after me. I was able to fend them off but I am pretty sure they're goal was not to kill me but to convert me and I felt a sexual feeling from them. Regardless I evaded them and ran out of the house.

Next stop is just complete fantasy. I was running away and I came to a huge dock area / bunker which I ran in and saw the commander in charge. I said I need my helper!!!!! I don't think they told me anything but they gave me a hand held device and When I looked into it I was able control a ship.... We were under attack by the evil guy. I flew my ship....the millennium falcon... and blasted the crap out of the bad guys that were coming. That is about it... I woke up...

My confusion in this dream is that I 100% realized I was in a dream and that anything is possible.

Why would no one come to help me when I called?
Why was I still unable to fly?

Hi T,

One reason might be that the purpose of the dream was already set, even though within it you felt lucid enough to have free will there.  Maybe that's not true for you, but it fits my point of view about life, that we are free---- within a set structure of spiritual lessons.

Perhaps the purpose of your dream was to test or force you to make choices. You made several--
you accepted and celebrated your non-physical state and ability to fly,
your denial of the vampire 'ladies',
your willingness to use force against evil, etc.

That sounds very successful !
Your helper will show up one of these days!  Smiley

I agree with Bets.

It is interesting that the evil guy used sexy women vampires. This shows that the choice is yours, rather than his. He can try to tempt you or con you into choosing his side, but in the end it is your choice.

A helper didn't come to your rescue, because your helpers wanted you to learn that as long as you choose love and light over darkness, you will be okay. Smiley

Terethian:

I'd like to add that it is very possible that a spirit helper helped you have this experience; therefore, a spirit helper "was" there.

Gosh, Terethian, I don't know about the helpers. I had a lucid dream last night. I vividly remember being with a companion and insisting vehemently that this was a dream. I was pointing out to my companion the items in the dream which I knew were not real. I was very excited that I was lucid and I was determined to convince this companion. It was actually fun, to make the connection. I wish I could remember more, but I know I was lucid.

Great work, Terethian! It seems like you kept your wits about you. I find it interesting that you could remember to ask for helpers.  I don't know why it's so hard to fly. I have flown a number of times in dreams and am quite familiar with a feeling of drifting down when I really would have liked to continue. Either that, or I wrap myself around some other kind of weirdness, and there goes the fun with flying....

Hi T. I agree with the other posters that a helper was there. I've discovered from reading others who seek helpers, as well my own quest in this, they will be sensed in some cases but more often than not prefer to remain invisible. even in Bruce's books, he could not see the upper portions of their bodies within his explorations but knew they were there.
it appeared to me the vampire ladies might have been placed to test you. to see for the guide's sake whether you could be tempted in that way. I see you passed the test, you should congratulate yourself you have this self control, as not everybody has attained that.
then one day perhaps, your guide or a helper will come upon u and say now you have passed the initiation stage, we want to take you somewhere else, to the next level.

I've had a few guides here and there. One time in particular to a full blown obe, a lady was waiting by my bed when I exited and asked "where would you like to go?" after I told her we flew through darkness and when I arrived she was no longer there and the rest of the experience unfolded.
so you see, they can be around you, watching, but you may not actually see or hear them as we do in C1.  love, alysia
