A New Guy's First Retrieval
Feb 16th, 2008 at 1:55pm

Hi,

I'm telling this for a guy that was unable to stay active here due to pressures at work. (It may have been reported about a year ago but who has time to go back?)  I hope you newbies will see in his experience that people are continually learning to do these
--so you will try one yourself !  Smiley

NewGuy had posted some basic questions maybe two or three times on this board. Then he PM'd me that he really wanted to try a retrieval and did I have any relatives that he could look up and then I could verify?  Personally I thought it might be better for beginners to just take whatever stuck soul your guides thought were appropriate.
But I didn't want to affect his enthusiasm, so I gave him my mother's name. (Not smart on my part since one's mother's name is often used as ID along with your password etc. on web accounts.) She'd passed over several decades ago but he said he'd ask for the soul that was G---T---C---.

Within a few days he hesitantly PM'd me with apologies for probably getting it wrong.  He then proceeded to accurately describe my mother at the happiest time of her life, what she wore then, and said she was with five others who sounded to be the same family members we knew who were all busy doing the same thing they did in the life I knew !!

I was amazed !  He was so unsure and so accurate all at the same time !

He didn't leave here voluntarily. He communicated several times about the conflicts of having a young family and new job and yet wanting to learn more.
I often wonder if he's been having any more such afterlife experiences.
'Newguy,' (all you 'newbies and novices) --- I salute you!

You don't have to feel like you know how to do before youjust do it!

Thanks for reading this.
Bets

Wow, that's a good encouragement indeed!
And yes, when using this phasing method, or as Bruce calls it, active imagination/pretending it often looks exactly like fantasy, but it could be a hit!

Hey Bets,

What a neat experience for New Guy and you! He had the desire to just go for it and trust in the process. I hope he can find the time to do some retrievals and share them with you.

Much love,

Ginny

Hi Ginny!

[Hey! We're talking!]

Funny thing was, New Guy became Return Guy shortly after I posted that!  Neat   coincidence, eh?

He PMd and suggested more tries between us. I should have been more encouraging but I didn't want him to think his success had anything to do with me. However since then I've thought of some possible retrievees outside my family, so need to get back in touch with him. --Do you have any you've been thinking of doing that you could use a partner for? I'll PM you his name too, just in case.

thanks for your interest!

Love, Bets

Bets,

I don't have any PMs or specific afterlife destinations going on right now. Just following through when I get a feeling a retrieval is needed, which is happening more lately. It isn't easy for me to sit for long periods of time to type them out (I hate getting older!!!---WAAAHH!). But ya know, Bets, I was thinking...since Return Guy has such a desire to helps others, and he isn't allowing self doubt or belief based fears to get too much in his way (we all have them somewhere along the line), perhaps he should continue as he is and work with Helpers. They are the best teachers. I feel it's the best way for new people to come to trust themselves sooner, trust Helpers that much quicker, learn the process and working in the afterlife that much better. PEing can be good for new people too, don't get me wrong, but at times I've wondered if they can get confused, discouraged or caught up in another person's beliefs too. I just have a feeling that, because Return Guy knows more than he consciously realizes right now, he just needs to trust and keep going.

I'm so excited for him and hope he can share with us down the road what he's experiencing.

Much love,

Gin
