A very ODD dream!!!!!
Feb 11th, 2008 at 4:58pm

Alright! I had this dream a week or two ago and I just discovered this dream section on the forum so I wanted to share it. I really don't take this dream seriously at all as you will soon see it is like straight out of a fantasy book.

I had apparently done something very wrong that affected the Gods and the townspeople. I have no clue what this thing was but I knew I was GUILTY. The God that I had done something against was the God of the ocean/water. So the people sentenced me to be thrown in the ocean. Ironicly I did not fight back. I felt very guilty so I let them throw me off the cliff into the ocean. I drifted out to see and sank beneath the water. I did not die. I was able to breathe because the God of this realm did not want me to die. I came to a spot and I stayed there. Then he came in the form of a man. He made me tell him everything I knew. (I felt a lot like the sniveling tattle tale bad guy that  is like a worm and everyone hates.)
After I told him all that I knew he took a blade but it was shaped like a rectangle like you would use for chopping. I am not sure what this type of blade is called but he shoved it into my leg. Then he cause the blood to gush out. I was very afraid to do anything that might upset the God so I kept the blade in my leg but held the sides of the wound together... pressing them against the blade. He then left and the dream is almost over except the feeling that he was going to let me live in case I was useful in the future.

Wow! Now this is one wacky dream. Not sure what a normal mortal could do to upset a God. I am pretty sure I did something to assist some other God which is against the water one, but I am not sure. Either way I sure as heck don't like the type of person I was in this dream. Not one bit.

Water is sometimes used as a symbol for the light. An ocean is a symbol of vastness. Perhaps God as he really is accepts you (of course he does).

The God with a blade is a concept of God you haven't completely let go of. A concept that came from when you were raised as a Jehova Witness.  You hold the blade in place even though it hurts you, because you're afraid to completely let go of your old concept of God.

Perhaps it seems as if you've let go of this way of looking at God. The fact of how you still have anger towards fundamentalism, suggests that you haven't completely let go of your attachment to fundamentalist concepts. For the longest time I believed that I had completely let go of my fundamentalist ideas of God, but then one day I found that because of fear, I hadn't done so.

I had to get to the point where I realized that if I'm loving and wise enough to not feel good about fundamentalist ideas, then so is God and other beings of light. To not view them as loving beings is rather insulting.

I also found that I had some problems with the issue of Christ, because of how I associated him with fundamentalist ideas. Eventually, I realized that I didn't actually know one way or another, opened myself up to the answers, and found out through various spiritual experiences and messages that he does in fact exist as a significant divine being, but not in a prohibitive fundamentalist way.

When I got around to doing the above, some heart chakra blocks cleared away. I still don't like certain fundamentalist ideas, but I no longer feel like I have to become angry when the subject comes up.

hi Tere, I like R's interpret. sounds good from here. just to add that I've been reading your other posts and you mentioned in one of them about a "fear" you might say something to offend the board.

this little fear is to my pov, attached to the guilt feelings you felt in the dream landscape, that because of this feeling inside, the god of this world, might throw you into the ocean and punish you, then u wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

R's interpretation is more comprehensive than mine. yet I had to tell you I notice this is a natural fear all newbies have, because we are speaking in public...this stuff is all over the net, just google it in and the whole world (tied in with god thoughts)  is checking you out.

it's quite possible people on forums can get attacked for their words, at the same time, I don't think that will happen to you, as you are conscious of your thoughts now.
the dream landscape helps us to become conscious of our thoughts in our waking reality.

and, lol, anytime you still have doubts..thank god theres always the delete or modify button.  thanks for sharing this extraordinary dream. dont think I've seen one like this in awhile. love, alysia
