good evening All,
imagine my surprise when i read a book that described my own experiences with telling people they are already dead!!
I have been doing this at night in my sleep for a few years, with the supervision of 2-3 older gentlemen that I take to be Helpers.
the last retrieval I performed was on a russian boy about 6 years old named Vanya. He stayed in his fuzzy footed pyjamas because he expected to stay *asleep* in death-and was unaware that he could move about freely or interact with others.
I woke him up- which took some coaxing, and convincing-and he went with me to the Park, and met his mama.

the next retrieval I did that same night was for an infant that had died suddenly, severely jaundiced, and stayed in his parents big bed. He was difficult to *awaken* as he was hesitant to leave his parents home-which was for him an empty place. I spoke to him, sang to him-told him his loved ones and helpers would come for him....(did you know that even the mouth tissues become yellow in jaundice? I didn't until I saw this infant)
I eventually had to physically tickle and play with him. A Helper came to get him after I was able to waken him.

Hi Terrie!

It's great to meet retrievers such as yourself who've been doing this independently!  Welcome!
You sound like you have a very loving approach to this, which is the most important aspect of retrieving according to our site's host, author Bruce Moen, and probably to the retrieved.  Smiley

You'll find a wide variety of viewpoints here on the retrieval experience, mostly due to whether a person's experienced doing one yet.  Smiley  And it gets real exciting to hear when the newbies do get involved!  Everyone who talks about it has a way of speaking that just may spark someone somewhere into a new understanding.  So we hope you'll stay and add your voice to the mix!

You might like to try the Partnered Explorations too. Their purpose is sometimes social, sometimes to do a group retrieval, and/or sometimes to dedicate some Pure Unconditional Love (PUL) to an area in trouble.

Looking forward to hearing from you again!
Bets

nice to meet you Terri, I liked reading your retrievals. please post more if you want and I will too, I think it's important to let the world know about retrievals.

you make it sound fun to retrieve a baby by tickling it! to my perception, you have PUL. (unconditional love) and the worlds a better place for retrievals, and especially for those retrieved.

thank you both for your kindness!

I had felt rather like a crazy person these few years-its not exactly water cooler talk-"oh guess what I did last night? I located someone who didn't KNOW they were dead and convinced them that they WERE and then I came back!"

I was under more supervision initially-and I knew that some experiences were "over my head" so to speak, and so I had to stand back and watch the professionals work. I learned a lot. It's really like being an apprentice.

One of my earliest retrievals had to be aborted because the young woman whom we were preparing for her death became very distressed and distraught-and reacted very emotionally. The helpers immediately and smoothly stepped in- and surrounded her, and she calmed herself...and was able to accept what was happening. I was not able to get close enough to see what they did, but now I know they must have been sending her their energies-and they whys and wherefores of what she was going through.

Much of my experience proves to me that nothing is as random as it appears on the surface. there are truly NO accidents. and that the complete universe is a Loving place.

hi Terri, looks like you found us. the right place. even though I agree, this not water cooler talk!

the world does become to perception a more loving place when you see these guides and you become in training with them.
welcome again  Smiley

it's a little funny. people sometimes don't know they're dead. woa...once or twice we had a few posters come here, and this is hilarious, they asked how do you know if you're dead right now?

good question! well deserving of an answer.

Hi and Welcome Terri-

Nope. This talk clears a room in no time. It is just too much to think for most folks that we are actually creating not our physical bodies. That, after all, was the point of the crucifixion-- the Resurrection! Lennie Bruce used to say he did not get it with Christians..."If Jesus had been born and killed nowadays, you'd all be walking around with little gold electric chairs on chains."

I, too, found after doing them at Lifelines at Monroe that I had been doing them for many years during my sleep time. It is true that the assignments have become more complex and difficult in a sense.

Please continue to post your retrievals and anythng you learn so you can be the inspiration that you already are.

Love and Light,

Thomas

Hi again Terrie,

In regard to your saying you felt like an apprentice, Bruce M says that we may step aside
during the process to let the Helpers finish, but that even they couldn't do it without our
human energy field there to create a calming that allows the Helpers to approach.
So helping where we're needed is all that's involved.  Smiley

that makes sense Bets..a common question here is if there are nonphysical guides everywhere, why do they need us physical retrievers?
the answer we have been given, which is incomplete, is that we have the right physical vibe, recognizable to the entity who has transitioned, but still thinks it is in the physical realm.

I'm still looking for a better explanation, but so far.. Huh

I however, don't need the explanation to know I benefit as well as the other, from retrievals spiritually which carries over into my C1 development.

you caused me to remember my first retrieval, where I was a bit confused what I was supposed to do. You mentioned the thing to do was calm the person down. in other words get their attention. the agitated state of the young man was looping his reality. I did calm him down and he finally saw and heard me, which meant the scene was not repeating at that point (he had been running)  that is precisely the moment he recognized the attendants who swiftly moved in, dressed as emergency crews, and removed him to wherever they took him, focus 27 I'm sure.

so thanks for the reminder! love, alysia
