Hey everyone,

just the same old question. Who/What sets the rules? Destiny or free will? Both?

Some believe that everything that happens during this lifetime is destiny, it happened, because it was meant to be. Some others believe, that things that seem to be like destiny, are nothing more than "happy" accidents.
To speak of free will choice...how much determined can we be according to the believe, that we can chose via free will. If I believe that I have a (total) free will, the two things that limit this, are birth and death.
So the things that happen during the period between being born and to die are not destiny, but are incidents, the free will gives us the opportunity to pass this incidents according to how we want it to be (I know in "real life" some of these incidents require compromises, to get the best possible for everyone who is involved), the other choice, not to do so (but missing chances is wasting time).
To speak of destiny, it has always the suspicious touch of not wanting to do/risk something, because everything that happens because of destiny could never be changed (that is the meaning of destiny), no matter what one does. That is, in fact, the nature of destiny. There is always some kind of believing involved, someone who sets the rules for the believers, the believers accept their destiny, serve the purpose of the one setting the rules, thinking it can be done any way else.

Or is it gate number three, a mix of both of the two, having a destiny and being able to use free will choice?
That would mean, there are happenings in mind of the "someone setting the rules", and it is up to you how to solve this problems, solving it in a "good" way, means to serve the purpose and destiny by free will choice, or solving it in a "bad" way, so to say to fail for what you where sent here, to "drift" away from the someone setting the rules.

Just another crooked approach.

Love,

pulsar

the way i understand it, it's both free will and pre-destined, at least from a human standpoint - you can do what you want, but some things will just happen to you.

however from the soul standpoint, since we pre-destine everything for ourselves, that really means everything is done by free will, even though it seems to your human brain like things are just happening to you.  which is really terrible to think about if you have a terrible life, to know that you CHOSE to starve, or have a terrible disease, or to be fat and ugly, or be raped, or (fill in the blank).  but i guess the soul has a broader perspective than us humans do.

Hello Pulsar,
I went out to seek a possible relation on your thoughts and found this for you, It would be nice if you would surf onto the www.jenseits-de.com site and ask Peter H. Kirchner that directly, I also would be interested in reading his answer to you, but here goes what I found.

The objective of incarnation is to increase the oversoul's maturity by 'sending out' the partial souls to the physical plane so they can learn and gather experience of life. The oversoul is a psychic entity, which is not able to gain experience in the astral planes since therefore a physical body is needed. So one might say the physical plane serves as a kind of boot camp or school, and the partial soul incarnates so that it can attend a 'class'. Eventually, after several 'classes' (several incarnations), it has reached the required standard and has its 'high school graduation' 'under its belt'.

Where there seems to be a contradiction between eternity and fugacity, in reality there is none. For example, imagine a school year; the pupil continues to exist, only the school year has ended.

So, to answer your question. I also believe we have both. FREE WILL, so to be able to experience to the fullest extent, but also the PLAN to make sure we experience to the fullest extent!

Thanks for the brainfood for me and I wish you a great day!

Hello Nanner,

so it happened, I posted it there, and got the first replies.
I put it into the "Jenseitsforum" section. (Das Leben: freier Wille oder Schicksal?)

Wish you a nice Sunday,

Love,

Hey everyone,

just a short question. I also postet this thread on jenseits-de.com, but unfortunately in the german section, I was asked if I could post it also on their english section, to make it possible for the majority here to get a better access on their research.
The question I now have is, if it is enough for you if I just translate the answers I got from the german section, or if you like to have it posted on jenseits-de.com's english section, to make your own comments on their set of ideas.

regards,

pulsar
