Transgendered?
May 13th, 2007 at 8:36pm

Wasn't sure what to title this one..

In the dream, I was in a park like place-like a state park or national park where you might see camping or rv'ing.

I had to go to the bathroom, so I headed over.  I went into the Women's and there were already women there.  There were two toilets, no doors on the stalls.  One was occupied.

I was speaking to a woman who was off to the side caring for a child and before I could go into the other one, someone rushed in and sat down.

The other women got angry.  They told the new person "You can't be in here! We told you before!"

They looked at me then raised the dress of the new person and it was obvious that this was a man.  Somehow, I understood right away that this man was going to undergo a sexchange operation.

I told the women that it must be part of the preop stuff, that he must live as a woman..

They said "no, he can't be here."

He said he was going to lose his military benefits also, that even though he retired after 20 years because he was no longer going to be a man, he would lose it all.  I mentioned that there were those who had lost those same body parts in war and they still got their benefits, so maybe he should arrange and "accident"?

He replied that he could not do that..

trying to figure this out Shirl...do you know such a person?

whoever it is, the delimmea is money/security, versus self expression.

like to choose which is more important and he/she decided to go with self expression whats inside of him/her, so he's going for broke. a hard road. probably the right choice.

well, society's not helping are they? meaning those ladies.

Who are these ladies, anyway????? This reminds me of my dream in which a woman kept spraying me in the face with some kind of disinfectant. This was also a "latrine" looking place, rough looking. I don't recall any doors. It also seemed to be a "two staller" place, rather small.   I got really annoyed and instead of "seeing her not there" as some such as Bruce Moen suggest, I "saw her" as a hairbrush in my dream and threw her into a nearby pond.

See her not there
hair
brush
pond

breaking it down a little....could have gotten confused....seeing someone "not there" and "hairbrush" are slightly related verbally...could be a connection there....brush....meaning hairbrush or also vegetation normally  growing "around" a pond....a verbal connection is there also.

But then, I've had "those" kinds of dreams before too....where you're doing unmentionable things and you realize you are in a place which is a little TOO public...but you're dreaming, so what can you really do about it anyway....

Poor trangender guy....how dare they flip up his dress like that!  There probably IS a poor guy out there who woke up remembering the same embarrassing dream! Good for you for sticking up for him, Shirley!

Well, Shirl...

Maybe you'll appreciate this. I just got home from a 15 hour day. I stopped by the convenience store on my way home. On my way out a homeless fellow approached me.  I gave him all the cash I had in my purse, which wasn't much.  In other days I'd keep a $10 bill around in my car for these kinds of occasions but I was a little short today.  His name was Brian.

He showed me the gash on his forehead on which he'd received 7 staples which were going to be removed on Monday. He wasn't looking forward to it.

He told me that after he had gotten the staples at the emergency room a week or so ago he needed to clean up his wound at some point.  He just wanted a sink, some soap and water. A man had been in the public facility in a nearby park for almost 2 hours while he and a friend of his waited.  No telling what the other fellow was doing in the men's room during this time.

Brian and his friend were tired of waiting, so he told his friend, oh, I'm just going to do it in the ladies' side of the facility.  A woman approached and became upset at him and called the police. He explained to the policeman that he was just cleaning his head wound.

The woman felt bad about it afterwards. So, she went out and got him some bandages, some hydrogen peroxide, and a whole bottle of Advil.

We talked a bit. He told me his name was Brian.  I told him my name, and he said he'd had a girlfriend by that name once. I held his hands in mine. I said, yeah, it's been a long day. He said, well, it's just another day for me. We wished each other well.

As he was telling me the story of being caught and chastised for being in the ladies room in a park's outdoor restroom I could not help but think of this thread.

Isn't that interesting?

So I had to tell you.
