Wow, what a dream.  Ok, here it goes..

I was involved with these tasks.  Completion of the tasks seemed to indicate worth in the eyes of the aliens.  Yes, it was an alien dream.

Many died attempting to complete the physical and mental tasks.

These beings were trying to find humans who were worthy and open enough to be given a gift.  The gift was realisation of who they really were, as well as abilities which no humans currently possess.

The aliens found me worthy of being given the gift.  I was with a group who were being exposed to this gift.  The details that I was given are lost now.

With this gift, we were able to percieve alternate dimensions.  A large, enormously brilliant moon appeared right in front of the sun.  It appeared as if perhaps two dimensions were overlapping.  This was an extremely fascinating sight.   

Me and the group were in a canoe-type boat, going underwater at times.  Our gift also allowed us to survive underwater for longer than normal time periods.

There was one female in my group who was apparently not ready for the gift.  She freaked out when her perception of alternate realities manifested.  She could not handle seeing the large, amazing moon appear right in front of the sun.  She jumped out of the boat, and seemed to be walking on water.  She began to flee, but someone snatched her.  It was freddy kruger!  He seemed to be working with the aliens.  He stabbed her through the throat with one of his claws, killing her.  She was unworthy, according to the aliens.

I then remember speaking to one of the aliens one on one.  I cannot remember the conversation, however. 

That is all I can remember.  This dream was mind blowing.  If you had witnessed all the details of the tasks involved and the gift itself, your jaw would be on the floor.
