shallow but precog. childhood dream?
Jan 12th, 2007 at 8:29pm

So yeah, when i was a younger kid, i really liked bikes.  When i got a little older, i really wanted a dirtbike but never got one--so i tried to put it completely out of my mind (lol why torture oneself?).

I remember having this repeating dream when i was still pretty young.  I would dream about this awesome yellow bike.  It was somehow different and better than any other bike i had ever had in real life.  In some dreams i took long rides on it, but mostly i just remember seeing this bike and really liking it for some reason!

So, forward many years.  I had bought a scooter as cheap transporation, it was blue, and it was a very stupid purchase and basically crapped out on me in less than a month, and i wasted a few thousand on it.

A little while later, i on a whim went to a motorcyle place.  I hadn't known that there were inexpensive but pretty well built motorcycles on the market.   I saw one for less than what i paid for my crappy scooter!  I was amazed, and decided to buy it then and there.

They only had one motorbike there in the model that i wanted and could afford.   Funny enough, it was a yellow bike!   While i don't mind yellow, it would not be my first choice as i love blue much more.

I'm not all that materialistic, but i must say, i love this bike and love to ride it.

   So..i wonder...

I would say a little deja vu, perhaps??  And when you were a kid, your brian only processed your dream as a bike because of your age.  As you got older, your needs became different, so the bike was in reality a motor cycle.  Sounds "sound" reasoning to me.  Have a blast!--cat

I agree with Identcat.    Smiley

When you were younger the yellow was cool.

Now that you're older you really wouldn't pick a yellow one for yourself.

Be careful on that thing.  They are dangerous but you know that already.  It's the Mom in me - can't help it.   Roll Eyes

I see it as a precognition, dreaming true circumstance Ahso. some part of you can enter your dream to show you what the future will be, so that you will be heartened. I think this shows we wish to comfort ourselves by showing ourselves the good that will be there for us. I dream this way all the time. I have them all written down as I like to check my accuracy. its an ongoing study. love, alysia

just off the wall, I had a little white and blue Hondamatic once. sold it so my daughter could go to France. I would like to get another one someday to use in a small town.

Smiley that's nice of you Kate.  Yes, i will and do try to be careful on it cause i know its a very dangerous thing.  But i guess that's part of the fun too. Shocked Wink

Funny cause years ago, i never would have pictured myself on a motorcycle, i'm not your typical kind of motor bike kind of guy by any means.   Bought it more cause of cost, gas, and practicality issues.

Thanks Kate, see you around.
