After reading some of these threads on retrievaling I didn't realize I participated in one about 6 months ago. My landlords nephew was vacationing in Fla. with his son when he had what he thought was heartburn. He told his son he was going to bed but didn't wake up in the morning. His son thought his dad who was a drinker just needed extra sleep so he didn't even look in on him until late that night. Thats when he discovered his father dead.
Now the landlord wasn't even notified until the following morning about his nephew's death and thats when I was told. However the night before I remember what I thought was a dream and I was conversing with someone who in the dream gave me the impression it was someone I knew who had died. I don't remember much of the conversation but I felt like the person I was talking to was confused. At the end of the dream right before I woke up I remember saying to this person that they must go to the light. I held up my right hand up  and this bright light  appeared and then I woke up.
When my landlord told me about his nephew I did some thinking about the dream and after reading some of these threads I would have to assume my friend Tim was in the area known as focus 23 in the band where humans who died from comas, tragic accidents and people who die in their sleep probably go right after they leave their physical bodies. Am I off base here?

The funny thing about retrievals is that your higher self can know what is going on before you become conscious of it. So I also  certainly believe you helped Tim move into the Afterlife.
Vicky has suggested several ways you can get more confirmation. Also if you like helping others and want to open your conscious understanding of the afterlife, just 'set your intent.'---Tell your self/your Higher Self that you are ready to be used for the greater good.
Everyone's experiences with this show different circumstances but all are positive.
Congratulations on being aware and sensitive of what is happening.

Good you first had this "dream" and THEN read about retrievals, because it certainly is more convincing to you that it's really a retrieval than it would have been the other way round. Cool!
